How to Have the Perfect Summer Grilling Party + Easy Pineapple Salsa Recipe

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Tyson Foods, Inc. The opinions and text are all mine. #TurnUpSummer

Summer is almost here, and I can’t tell you how excited I am! One of our favorite things to do as a family is to have friends and family over for a good cookout and enjoy the family swimming pool while listening to our favorite music.

If you want to have the perfect summer grilling party, here’s what we do to make it fun and memorable!

How To Have The Perfect Summer Grilling Party

Break out the Music

Do you ever hear a song on the radio that brings back a special memory, makes you feel happy, calm, or gets you pumped up? When we have a summer grilling party, we want it to be something memorable for everyone. The kids don’t always like some of our country songs, but then again we don’t always like their hip hop. Either way, music brings out the best in all of us. In fact, music is actually beneficial to our overall well-being.

Plan Some Games

Games are always a party must! What is a party without some 3-legged races, corn hole, or ring toss. We love games. But we try to stick to games that people can wander over to whenever they want rather than trying to get the whole group involved. Although, relay races with a twist are always a fun way to get everyone involved.

Go All Out on the Food

If you want to have the perfect summer grilling party, there are a few food essentials you just have to have. We like to provide lots of options because you never know what someone will want. But, our essentials include: steak, hotdogs, sausage links, hamburgers, pasta salad, watermelon, corn on the cob and my famous homemade pineapple salsa! (I’m sharing my recipe at the ends of this post).

Planning a summer grilling party? We’re turning up summer with summer grilling party food and party supplies at Walmart!

My kids love hotdogs and sausage links every time we have a cookout so I make sure we buy the Ball Park® Hot Dogs and the Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage Links. I like that Ball Park® Hot Dogs are made of 100% beef and contain no by-products, fillers or artificial colors or flavors. The Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage Links are made with 100% premium pork and/or premium beef as well. I’m picky with what I feed my family and we’ve always loved these brands of hotdogs and sausage links.

Save Time and Money at Walmart

Now throwing a perfect summer cookout party doesn’t have to cost you a lot of time and money. I find everything I need for our party right at Walmart! From food to party supplies and games, I get them all right at my Walmart store.

Get everything you need for your next summer grilling party at Walmart

I love the Walmart store closest to our house because even though it’s huge, I know where to find all the stuff I need and they’re always at reasonable prices!

To save time serving food and cleaning up after the party, I use disposable utensils and plates like Chinet® Classic White™ dinner plates. They’re premium disposable plates that are strong to serve the heaviest meals in style! So, if you want to save some time and money, I would suggest writing up your list and heading over to Walmart to make your perfect summer cookout party happen.

Having a summer garden party with close family and friends is always a massive hit for us. We all chip in and everyone brings food and their own drinks and we provide the soft drinks. One of our group is a DJ so he always does the music and we invite the neighbours so we can party until the early hours without offening anyone!

Grilling during the summer is something which has brought my family together on several occasions. From weddings to birthday parties. Even some funerals have seen us having a BBQ. There is something about the vibe and atmosphere. People are more open and comfortable.

The Pineapple Salsa sounds really good. The only problem with it is I really hate the taste of cilantro. I wonder how this would taste with out the cilantro. We shop at Walmart for all our picnic needs. My grand kids love grilled hot dogs and hamburgers.

I would of never thought to put this salsa on a hot dog. It looks really appetizing and I wouldn’t mind trying it out. I really love salsa during the summer time and with growing our own garden during the summer time my mom makes the best salsa ever. Home made salsa is really good and I recommend anyone that shops to create there own salsa dips. It’s the best.

I am not a fan of fruit salsas, sorry. I just like whatever fruit it is, by itself, and then only some fruits. I can’t have anything acidic. Ok I’m boriing, haha Cookouts to me, mean hamburgers and/or hot dogs with chips or potato salad, sometimes cole slaw. I’m pretty boring but it’s because I have a lot of food issues and have to have many plain foods due to medical issues.

We grill a lot during the summer months. I don’t like to make my air conditioner work any harder than it has to so I cook everything I can on the grill. I have never made pineapple salsa before, I do love it though/ Thank you for the recipe.

You really do need to go all out on the food if you are going to make the party worth it. The food is really my favorite part and it opens up tongues and makes people talk more. So fun.

    I enjoy summer grilling.
It takes the heat out of the kitchen.
And I like shopping at Walmart for the grill outs.
    You get the best prices.

Every summer season I try to incorporate something new/different to my menus … especially when it comes to barbecuing outdoors. I’ve also adjusted my diet so I don’t indulge as much in the grilled goodies like hot dogs/sausages/red hots. However, after seeing your recipe for pineapple salsa I must admit I am going to try it on a ‘cheat’ day with a turkey dog.

My husband is the griller is this family. I suppose I could do it but man, he loves being behind the grill. lol I will definitely be trying out that salsa. I tried a pineapple grilled ham and cheese once. Wasn’t sure if I would like it but WOW – super amazing. The Cook use 3 types of cheese, ham (straight from the baked ham shank , pineapples and rustic bread. So, I am thinking your pineapple salsa will be delicious also.

I’d love to try this recipe. We love to grill squid with pineapple. Just skewer squid and pineapple onto skewers (alternating pieces). No seasonings required. The pineapple imparts a lovely flavour to the squid. Works with shrimps too.

That pineapple salsa looks delicious!! I love grilling veggies and meats on the grill. We did shishkabobs last year with lots of pineapple. I also made the mistake of eating a LOT of raw pineapple and it totally ate away at my gums. I was miserable for days while it healed.
