Summer is almost here, and I can't tell you how excited I am! One of our favorite things to do as a family is to have friends and family over for a good cookout and enjoy the family swimming pool while listening to our favorite music.
If you want to have the perfect summer grilling party, here's what we do to make it fun and memorable!

How To Have The Perfect Summer Grilling Party
Break out the Music
Do you ever hear a song on the radio that brings back a special memory, makes you feel happy, calm, or gets you pumped up? When we have a summer grilling party, we want it to be something memorable for everyone. The kids don't always like some of our country songs, but then again we don't always like their hip hop. Either way, music brings out the best in all of us. In fact, music is actually beneficial to our overall well-being.
Plan Some Games
Games are always a party must! What is a party without some 3-legged races, corn hole, or ring toss. We love games. But we try to stick to games that people can wander over to whenever they want rather than trying to get the whole group involved. Although, relay races with a twist are always a fun way to get everyone involved.
Go All Out on the Food
If you want to have the perfect summer grilling party, there are a few food essentials you just have to have. We like to provide lots of options because you never know what someone will want. But, our essentials include: steak, hotdogs, sausage links, hamburgers, pasta salad, watermelon, corn on the cob and my famous homemade pineapple salsa! (I'm sharing my recipe at the ends of this post).

My kids love hotdogs and sausage links every time we have a cookout so I make sure we buy the Ball Park® Hot Dogs and the Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage Links. I like that Ball Park® Hot Dogs are made of 100% beef and contain no by-products, fillers or artificial colors or flavors. The Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage Links are made with 100% premium pork and/or premium beef as well. I'm picky with what I feed my family and we've always loved these brands of hotdogs and sausage links.

They're perfect with grilled Ball Park® Hot Dog Buns and then topped with my pineapple salsa!
Save Time and Money at Walmart
Now throwing a perfect summer cookout party doesn't have to cost you a lot of time and money. I find everything I need for our party right at Walmart! From food to party supplies and games, I get them all right at my Walmart store.
I love the Walmart store closest to our house because even though it's huge, I know where to find all the stuff I need and they're always at reasonable prices!
To save time serving food and cleaning up after the party, I use disposable utensils and plates like Chinet® Classic White™ dinner plates. They're premium disposable plates that are strong to serve the heaviest meals in style! So, if you want to save some time and money, I would suggest writing up your list and heading over to Walmart to make your perfect summer cookout party happen.

I had some kind of salmon dinner in a restaurant not too long ago that came with a pineapple salsa on top of it. It was really delicious. I have been meaning to find a recipe for it, to add to some salmon here at home. I'm pinning this recipe!!! Can't wait to try it out soon. Thanks! 🙂
This recipe looks absolutely delicious! I love summer grilling because there are so many options that just don't taste the same when they are made indoors. I find that Walmart always has what I need for this.
My kids have just recently discovered that they like the taste of pineapple and also, a few months ago, salsa. This would be a perfect mix to present at the next family BBQ to get the kids interested. Much appreciated. hope to try soon!

I love how something with just a limited amount of ingredients can end up being a nice, delicious thing to serve guests. I love mango in my salsa, will need to try pineapples one of these days.

I love shopping for summer grilling essentials at Walmart because I can get everything in one trip!
When summer hits I love to grill outside to help keep the house cool and have fantastic foods on the bbq. I do grilled pineapple slices to put on burgers for added fresh summer flavors.
Walmart is the best place to grab all the cookout essentials. That is definitely a recipe I will have to bring to my next cookout. Great ideas. Thank you.
Sounds good. I love pineapple. I'll have to try this recipe out.
I love this twist on a traditional grilling recipe. The pineapple salsa looks delicious!
Family gatherings r surely best parts of summers! Love all these amazing ideas and especially the pineapple salsa topping!
Great tips and ideas. I love the Summer and all the chances to have a good BBQ / grilling party.
I love Walmart for all my needs year round, but summertime is my favorite. Your salsa looks amazing and fresh. We cook out at least once a week with friends and family. I think this will be my next take-along recipe.
Thanks for this awesome and healthy recipe. I am anxious to use it this Summer for sure.
Great looking recipe I look forward to using this Summer.
I'm a huge pineapple fan but have never had it in salsa before so this will be fab to try. I got overly excited yesterday when I found out they are doing dole whip at the zoo about half an hour away from me so I don't have to wait until my next trip to Hawaii or Disney for my fix!
Sounds delicious ! Imma try this recipe
Oh wow that pineapple salsa looks fantastic. Would love to try that out next summer. We're heading into winter in South Africa. I'm into my soups and stews this time of year.
The salsa looks amazing, except I don't like pineapples so I'd probably substitute something else.
This looks SO good!! I need to make it! We love grilling in the summer. We do it at least 3 times as week. New York strips, potatoes, and Brussel sprouts on the grill is my favorite.
We always buy our food and drinks for parties from WalMart. I just stocked up yesterday but it looks like I need to go back and buy the ingredients for that pineapple salsa! Can't wait to try it!
This recipe sounds delicious and perfect for a summer cookout! I especially love the variety of ingredients.
The pineapple salsa sounds and looks delicious, I think it would be wonderful on grilled fish.
These are all such great ideas! So many that I haven't even thought about. I always love incorporating games and music. Food is always a yes, no matter the occasion! Totally pinning the pineapple salsa! Looks and sounds so refreshing!

I made this last night and it was so good. We love pineapple anything.

Hi, I'd rate it a 5, but I can't do the "grillin' party part-NO GRILL"! It looks great, "gone-a-wishin", (AGAIN!!). Take care, "God Bless", sincerely Randy.
Usually with summer grilling, I put together different vegetables, fruits and fish and shrimp that I would like to grill. I create a shish kebab style with the use of foil packs, as well.
The pineapple Salsa sounds so delicious and summery
I always look forward to food on the grill in the Summer! We don't BBQ very often, since our BBQ is very old and unreliable...someday we'll get a new one 🙂 I really enjoyed reading about your perfect Summer grilling tips, and can't wait to try that Pineapple Salsa! It sounds so fresh & delicious...thanks for sharing!
This pineapple salsa sounds amazing! I'm pinning it to try soon! I think it would be great with grilled chicken.
Having a summer garden party with close family and friends is always a massive hit for us. We all chip in and everyone brings food and their own drinks and we provide the soft drinks. One of our group is a DJ so he always does the music and we invite the neighbours so we can party until the early hours without offening anyone!
I love to incorporate any fruit into meat cooking. Especially pineapplie- it makes it extra flavorful and delicious
Sweet and savoury is my favourite combination so I'm loving that fresh pineapple salsa! I think I'll try it with grilled chicken.
One of my favorite summer hobbies is swimming. And what goes better with swimming than grilling? Of course we go shopping to get new suits and new shoes and clothes at walmart!
An interesting combination. I'll try them.
All this food is making me hungry, especially the hotdogs. I would love to try Pineapple Salsa
Pineapple Salsa sounds delicious xx
