The only thing about cauliflower that is tough is the taste. It can be pretty strong and many people either love cauliflower or hate it. When I set out making this air fryer cauliflower recipe, I want to make sure even those cauliflower skeptics would love it. I promise you will!

When you use all of the seasons and fry the cauliflower to perfection, it actually tastes better! I stuck to the basic spices - garlic, onion, salt, and pepper. But you can be creative and use other spices, too.

Ingredients

I tried to keep the ingredients for this air fryer cauliflower recipe simple. It's much easier to add veggies to your diet when they are easy to cook!

Here are what you need to whip up this delicious air fryer cauliflower:

• cauliflower- Try using multi colored cauliflower florets. A mix of white cauliflower and purple cauliflower is my favorite. It looks so pretty on the plate!
• oil- Use an oil that can withstand high heats. I like using olive oil or avocado oil.
• garlic powder- A sprinkle of garlic powder adds a zesty, rich taste.
• onion powder- Onion powder is made by grinding dehydrated onions into a fine dust. This adds a lot of sweet, spicy onion flavor that coats the cauliflower florets nicely.
• salt and pepper- You can't cook without salt and pepper! These two little ingredients are total flavor boosters and will bring your veggies to life

Once you have your ingredients, make sure you have your air fryer preheated and ready to go. You will also need a large bowl to toss all the ingredients together and a spoon or tongs to do the tossing. Of course, you can always just use your hands to mix everything up. The less kitchen tools to clean, the better!

How to Make Easy and Delicious Air Fryer Cauliflower

Ready to make a delicious, healthy veggie side dish? Take a look at how to make my air fryer cauliflower recipe and then start cooking!

1. Wash and cut your cauliflower florets. Try to make them about the same size so they will cook at the same rate.

2. Add the cauliflower to a large bowl then drizzle with the oil, add all of the seasonings and toss everything together well. Use tongs, a spatula or your hands to really mix the cauliflower with the seasonings evenly.

3. Spread the seasoned florets across the air fryer basket. Try to make a single layer of veggies if possible.

4. Air fry the cauliflower at 400 degrees F for about 12-15 minutes. Remove the basket about every 5 minutes and toss the cauliflower to make sure every piece is getting nice and crispy.

5. Remove the cauliflower from the air fryer and enjoy warm or cold!

I like to cook my cauliflower for the full 15 minutes so the edges get nice and brown. Crispy cauliflower is truly addictive!

Air Fryer Cauliflower Tips

I have become obsessed with this cauliflower air fryer recipe so I have made it quite a few times. Here are a few little tips, tricks and variations that have worked well for me to really perfect this recipe.

• Toss the cauliflower with ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes to make a spicy air fryer cauliflower.
• Sprinkle a little grated parmesan cheese over the cooked cauliflower right as it comes out of the air fryer. You can't go wrong with melted cheese!
• For variation, try using ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning in place of garlic powder and onion powder. This gives the cauliflower a nice, herby flavor.
• Try using coconut oil which adds a nice tropical flavor. This will also make the cauliflower taste great with Asian dishes.
• Air fry the florets for 20 minutes to get them really crispy. Serve them as an appetizer with some buffalo wing dip. A super crunchy, crispy cauliflower floret is a healthy and delicious snack.

1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil  

1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder

1⁄4 teaspoon onion powder

1⁄4 teaspoon coarse salt

1⁄4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

1. Wash and cut cauliflower to equal size pieces.
2. Toss cauliflower with oil, garlic powder, pepper, onion powder and salt.
3. Place cauliflower in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F for 12-15 minutes, tossing 2 or 3

4. Remove from the air fryer.
