Parking Pal Magnet: Keeping Your Kids Safe In Parking Lots

As a mom of two little ones, it can be a bit of a challenge in the parking lot when trying to load one of them into the car while keeping the other one safe from oncoming traffic. Gabriel is almost three years old now and most of the time, he doesn't really listen to what he's told. In fact, we had to get an extra safety lock for our front door because he just loves to run across our driveway any chance he gets. The same is true when we are in parking lots- he would be running out of the car the minute the car seat buckles are off.

So here was a brilliant idea for him: a Parking Pal magnet. When I learned about this product, I wanted to try one right away. And sure thing- it works!

So what is the Parking Pal magnet and how does it work?

Parking Pal is a brightly-designed round magnet with a small palm illustration where children place their hands on. The magnet is designed to attach on the side of your vehicle and serves as a "safe spot" where your child can go directly to it before getting in or after getting out of the car and put their hand on it, while you tend to your other child nearby. I was surprised to see how receptive Gabriel was when I first taught him how to use the Parking Pal magnet. And since he loves saying the letters of the alphabet, we got him the AlphaPal magnet. He's having so much fun while using the magnet- he points to each alphabet letter and reads them while he waits on me. Do you know how helpful this product have been to me with my kids in parking lots now? I absolutely love it!

Parking Pal magnets come in five fun, colorful designs- dinosaur, flowers, planet, alphabet, and fish. Only $7.99 each at KidSafetySolversandMore.com . Enter coupon code HMP 508 to get free shipping on your order.

*Win the Parking Pal Magnet! Two winners will win one Parking Pal Magnet each. Leave a comment on this post by Wednesday, May 28th at 12MN, CST to be entered to win. US and CA residents only. Winners will be picked using Random.org. Goodluck!

Can I just say that I totally love this? Not only would it be a big help to me as a mommy, but as a driver I'm amazed at how many kids are running around in parking lots, not quite tall enough to be seen by all the big SUV's. The Parking Pal is a friend to all!

I would love to try the magnet. My youngest of four just runs.

This idea is a much needed one! I have friends who are in the police force that make their kids (4) get out of the car and assume the "search" position in order to keep them from doing exactly what you described. I always though this was a little too extreme and would make them hold the door knob. Gosh, it is these kind of simple little inventions that save so many lives, keep parents stress free, and help inventors in the money! Great Giveaway, something special to add to DD hope chest.

When my 5yo daughter was 2 I came up with the great idea of putting her hand on the car for safety. (had never heard of anyone else doing it) Now that my youngest daughter is 2 we are doing it again. However I love the idea of actually having someplace cool to put it.
