The smells, sights and sounds of the holiday season fill the air and as some of us are preparing to host our own holiday parties, we think of ways to simplify the festivities.

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to hosting holiday parties in our home, I try and make it fun and festive by decorating our home with all the bright colors of the season!  For recipes, I tend to look for easy and delicious dishes that I know will be a hit at the table.

When we need a quick party appetizer or snack, crackers are always a popular choice. But if you’re getting bored with the same old toppers, I’ve come up with a recipe that I know everyone will love at your next holiday party or get-together: Triscuit Cheese and Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries

There are so many ways to customize cracker appetizers based on taste preference, but what’s great about this recipe is that it blends the sweetness of chocolate and fruit with the creamy and light flavour of the ricotta cheese quite perfectly. For crackers, I love using Triscuit which comes in so many flavors. They’re great for snacking and as appetizers at any gathering. Just top them with your favorite fruits, cheeses, cut up veggies, dips and even deli meats and seafood. I love that Triscuit is baked with 100% Whole Grain Wheat and is now NON GMO.

I get our Triscuit crackers at Walmart where I know I can get the best prices.

For this recipe, I used the Triscuit Sea Salt & Black Pepper Crackers.  I made this recipe for a friend’s holiday party and it was a total hit. Not to mention, they make a fun and festive addition to your holiday appetizer spread. I hope you enjoy the recipe as much as we do!

I have to remember to buy a box of Tricuits! It’s been far too long. Unfortunately there are NO strawberries anywhere–I will be taking my Mom shopping tomorrow and prob will hit a lot of stores just to try to find them! She has been searching for a month or two. Chocolate dipped strawberries are delicious!
