During all of the busy rush of summer, it can be a challenge finding the time or money to go on vacation. For our family, long and exhausting work schedules and busy structured activities for our kids can get in the way of taking week-long trips to far away places. Thanks to Staybridge Suites, we recently had a chance to take a short but sweet 24-hour staycation! 🙂
Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, Staybridge Suites offers comfortable and spacious suites so you can feel right at home. We stayed at the Quantico-Stafford location and I’m so glad we could enjoy relaxing, quality time as a family with all the great amenities we could ask for in a hotel.
If you’re looking for lodging near Quantico, Virginia or if you’re traveling between Washington, DC and Richmond, you can’t go wrong with Staybridge Suites Hotel Quantico-Stafford. I was pleasantly surprised at how well equipped this hotel was for the price! The first thing we noticed when we arrived at the hotel was that it wasn’t hard to find a parking space. As soon as we entered the hotel lobby, a friendly front desk lady greeted us and helped us check in (which was a breeze!) Since my husband and I travel several times every year, I can say that we’re sort of spoiled when it comes to the hotels that we stay at. I notice small details like how the rug looks (if it’s old and stained or clean and new) or how the air smells every time we enter a hotel. The lobby on this hotel was nice, clean and cozy with a fireplace right before you reach the elevator area to go up to your room, as if giving you a warm welcome at your arrival.
Our spacious one bedroom suite with two queen beds was just perfect for our family size. It was very clean and well furnished and had a full kitchen with all the utensils you need if you plan to prepare and/or serve food during your stay. There was also complimentary high speed Internet and flat screen televisions in both the bedroom and living room areas. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows and sheets smelled clean. We arrived at our suite in mid-afternoon and we just wanted to take a nap the minute we entered the bedroom!
The spacious living room area is perfect for a lazy afternoon just chatting and watching TV (which we did). The hotel also has a nice list of restaurants that offer delivery service to your room, but we wanted to go out and enjoy a sit down dinner at a nearby restaurant (yup, I didn’t want to cook!). Hey, we’re on staycation! 😉
The indoor swimming pool was also a great perk for my swimming pool-loving family! We hang out there for most of the early evening after we got back from dinner. My husband and I enjoyed a great movie in the living room area right after I put our boys to bed. And even though this hotel is close to the highway, it was really quiet and we all slept soundly for the night.
The complimentary breakfast buffet the next morning was also a nice touch to our overall stay. We had coffee, bagels, eggs, sausage and fresh fruits and I made my boys waffles. There was a good selection of other healthy breakfast items as well as juice and tea.
If you love working out at the gym, this hotel also has a fitness center that features treadmills, weights, stationary bikes, and elliptical machines. And if you and/or your family are staying longer, it’s great that they have a convenient on-site self-laundry facilities as well as daily housekeeping.
Overall, our stay at the Staybridge Suites Hotel Quantico-Stafford was a very pleasant one. The hotel is family-friendly and the staff was professional and made us feel comfortable during our entire stay. We will definitely be staying at this hotel again!
