Summer can get really hot here in Northern Virginia. It can sometimes really become a challenge to get out of the house with the scorching heat. My kids are having fun with all the summer activities we’re doing or have done so far. I’m constantly thinking of creative ways to spend their time out from school – visiting places, making crafts, or simply enjoying our swimming pool. We’re going to Myrtle Beach again for our family summer vacation this year and they’re excited about that too!
Speaking of vacations and activities, I found this really neat sand project to make with the kiddos: a Beach Memory Jar! I thought this is a really creative way to display photos and keepsakes from our vacations, and we don’t have to leave the house to do this fun activity together! 🙂
If you want to get inspired to make your own, Fiskars has the full how to’s. This is also a really fun way to spend the summer afternoon with your little ones. Get crafty and creative!
Here are some other links I found for fun, creative Summer sand activities to make with your kids.. without leaving home! The idea: have fun with sand even when you’re far away from the beach. Enjoy! 🙂
Do you have any other fun, ‘no sand required’ summer activities you like doing with your kids? Please share!
What do you think about making your own Beach Memory Jar? Tell me in the comments! 🙂
