Creative parents know just where to find fun and inexpensive activities for their kids! If you need some ideas, here’s a nice roundup of places offering various kids’ events. What’s great, most of these events are free! 🙂
*American Girl – Girls ages 8 and up can participate in various FREE events at American Girl stores – such as in-store crafts, cooking classes, tours that get little girls out and about and more! Just go here to see the full list of activity dates in May and June. Be sure to call your store ahead to make your reservations.
*Bass Pro Shops – Starting tomorrow, May 17th through the 25th, check out their Go Outdoors Event for free workshops, adventure activities, and more. Go here for more details.
*Chuck E. Cheese – Believe it or not, my kids have not outgrown visiting this place yet for easy fun on those sometimes boring weekends! You can go here for nice value coupons being offered in your area.
*Lakeshore Learning Store – On Saturday, 5/17 from 11AM-3PM, kids ages 3 and up will be able to make a FREE Catch of the Day! Fishing Pole! Plus, other upcoming free crafts for kids are being offered for the rest of May and all throughout June.
*Michaels – On Saturday, May 17th from 12-3PM, attend the free family craft time for Teacher Appreciation! Also, check out the Create a Perfect Celebration event from 1-4PM on Sunday, 5/18. Various Kids Club events at Michael’s are being offered for only $2 per child, happening every half hour from 10AM-11:30AM.
*National Fishing & Boating Week – June 1st-8th is National Fishing & Boating Week which highlights the importance of recreational boating and fishing in enhancing people’s’ quality of life and preserving our country’s natural beauty. Check your own state’s Free Fishing Days offer!
*Carmike Cinemas – Every Thursday at 10AM in June (may vary by location), visit participating Carmike Cinemas for their Summer Kid Series. You can snag the Summer Kid Series Combo for only $4 which includes admission, small popcorn, and a small drink! Go here to see a participating location near you. Start dates will vary by region so check the dates before making plans to head out to your chosen cinema location.
*Cinemark Theaters – Starting in June, participating Cinemark theaters will have the Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse promotion where you can get 10 tickets to select G or PG-rated movies for only $5 when you purchase in advance at the box office! *Cineplex – Starting May 17th, on Saturday mornings at 11AM, watch a family favorite film each week for only $2.50! Go here for details.
*Classic Cinemas – Every Wednesday starting June 11th-August 6th at 10am, kids can watch nine G and PG rated films for only $1 each!
*Harkins Theaters – Kids can enjoy a movie a week for 10 weeks, for less than $1 per film! All adults must be accompanied by children. Go here for tickets and to see a participating location near you.
*Marcus Theaters – From June 15th-August 13th, you can view your favorite family flicks for only $2 on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays at 10AM! Plus, you can get refreshments like popcorn and fountain drinks for only $2.50 each!
*Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres– Starting on May 21st (varies by location), participating Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theaters will be offering their Summer Movie Express 2014 movie promo where you and your whole family can enjoy a selection of G or PG-rated films for only $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting at 10AM.
