My First HydraFacial Experience at NOVA Plastic Surgery (Ashburn, VA)

We all have the desire to be pampered. We may not have a partner who will rub our feet when we've had a rough day, whether it is at the office or chasing around our kids. And, even if we do get pampered at home, sometimes we need more. So, when you're feeling like you need a good pick-me-up, pamper yourself. And in this case, I highly recommend getting a proper facial.

Recently I was able to try a HydraFacial MD treatment for the first time with NOVA Plastic Surgery in Ashburn, VA. I have had other facial treatments done before this but I was particularly curious and excited about this one, since a friend just had it done for her and she was raving about how she loved the treatment. Also, I knew I needed help with tired-looking facial skin and this HydraFacial service sounded promising when I first heard about it. Before I agreed to try the services, I've looked more into it and found that for my issues (some redness on my right cheek), this would be a good option. I'll tell you more on that later.

This isn't a strip mall chain spa, ladies. What happens at the HydraFacial MD visit

I was happy to say that after being greeted with their pleasant staff, I was put at ease and taken in for my procedure with the very knowledgeable and accommodating Sherri.

At this particular visit, I had the HydraFacial MD treatment which consisted of multiple steps:

• Cleansing
• Exfoliation
• Extraction and removing impurities and dead skin cells
• Replenishing vital nutrients including Antioxidants, Peptides and Hyaluronic Acid.

After examining the current condition of my face (thank God I don't have age spots like I thought I had!), Sherri was able to let me know that the facial redness I saw was due to some small, broken capillaries. From there she explained what type of treatment and procedure I will be needing on my next visit, if I were to address this skin concern, and what to expect after the procedure. I was also really grateful that she reminded me to use sunscreen 'at all times'. This is one thing I definitely need to improve on as far as taking care of my facial skin.

By having this procedure, I feel more confident and also am happy to say that there are many benefits to having a facial, and not just because you'll feel pampered.

The benefits I've noticed were immediate including: reduced fine lines & wrinkles, plump & firmer skin for long-term results I saw (and felt!) instantly.
