Resourceful parents know where to find the best deals and the best (free and inexpensive) activities for their kids! I know that keeping the kiddos busy and happy can be challenging for us parents at times.
So here are fun ideas for free or inexpensive activities for the children to enjoy this weekend and beyond!
*American Girl – Various locations are offering free activities for girls ages 8 and up. You can go here to see the full list of events with their dates and times and to see if there is a store participating in your area.
*Babies “R” Us – Need inspiration to create your child’s dream room? On Sunday, June 29th, join in the Happy Places event where you get to share ideas with other parents, get expert decorating tips and more! Schedules are from 12-1PM (for Nursery) and/or 2-3PM (for Toddler/Playroom)! Go here for more details and to find your nearest Happy Places event location. Additionally, through July 1st, you can enter the Happy Places Sweepstakes to win one of three fantastic prizes!
*Barnes & Noble – Through June 29th, kids ages 7 and up will have a chance to participate in a hands-on learning activity where they’ll learn the cool aspects of physics by building their own speeding race car. *Bass Pro Shops – Check out your local store now through July 13th for their Family Summer Camp offerings with free workshops, crafts, activities and more! You can go here for more details.
*Chuck E. Cheese – You can go here to print various coupons for your area.
*Disney Store – Check out their “Summer Play Days” offering fun-filled events each day from June 3rd to September 1st that includes Art of Animation, Trivia Time, Story Time, and Showtime. Every week, you will also receive a character button. You can go here for more details.
*Lakeshore Learning Store – Tomorrow, Saturday, June 28th from 11AM-3PM, kids can make a FREE My Summertime Memories Frame! You can go here for more details.
*Lowes Build & Grow – Kids can attend free Build and Grow Clinics in June at 10AM. Just go here for a list of upcoming clinics. You can register your kids a few weeks before each clinic’s date.
*Michaels – On June 28th from 1-4PM, they have a FREE Intro Into Paper Crafting Class. Also, you can attend various Kids Club events including the Summer Passport to Imagination for only $2 per child. Sessions starting every half hour from 10AM-11:30AM. You can go here for more details.
*Microsoft Retail Stores – Check out their FREE YouthSpark Summer Camps for kids ages 8-13 happening at their retail stores throughout this summer. Make your reservations now if you’re interested, as spots are limited!
*Redbox – Watch a movie with the whole family! Now through June 28th, Redbox is offering weekly discounts on Redbox rentals. Just text LUCKY to 727272 to sign up for a new discount code to be sent to you EVERY Saturday that can be used at any Redbox kiosk or online. Cool deal!
*Toys “R” Us – Tomorrow, Saturday, June 28th from 12-2pm at any Toys “R” Us, kids will be able to participate in the FREE Transformers Build & Demo event!
*Williams Sonoma – Every week in July, they will be offering FREE Junior Chef classes where kids can learn to make delicious recipes from main courses to desserts and snacks, with plenty of tasting along the way!
