Whoopie Pies Recipe

This classic whoopie pies recipe is so good made of soft, fluffy chocolate cakes filled with vanilla marshmallow cream filling – the perfect treats for Valentine’s Day!

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Draw a heart shape on the back of a piece of parchment paper with a Sharpie marker. Place the parchment paper, drawing side down, on a baking sheet.

In a large mixing bowl, mix together shortening and sugar for 2 minutes.

Add eggs and mix until fully combined.

In a separate mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, unsweetened cocoa powder, and salt.

Slowly add half of the dry ingredients to the sugar mixture and mix. Then, add milk and vanilla extract and stir.

Finally, add the remaining dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
