|Yours truly shopping for produce at Food Lion|
As the main shopper of the family, I’m in charge of making sure we are within budget with our spending – especially on groceries. I’m sure you know how it is to easily get caught up on buying things you don’t really need sometimes while you shop. For me, making a shopping list has greatly helped me avoid or at least decrease my buying on impulse.
I also love to save money by using coupons when I grocery shop more so than before. But I do find myself clipping or printing coupons from my home computer that I don’t really need or end up not using later.
Recently, I was contacted by Food Lion to tell me about their newly launched MVP Coupon Hub where families can save money as they do their grocery shopping the easier way – no clipping or printing coupons required!
So I did a test drive on the MVP Coupon Hub feature at my last Food Lion shopping trip and I was happy about my savings! In my receipt (shown below), it shows I bought a Fiber One Protein cereal for $4.29 at the regular price. With the online coupon that I loaded onto my MVP card, it shows that it took off $0.75!
I love the ease and convenience of not having to clip, organize or print up coupons with the MVP Coupon Hub. Thus, I can save not only on money while shopping for the groceries, but also on time.
So how does MVP Coupon Hub work?
Simply go to the Food Lion website and then load the coupons you want to use directly to your MVP card. If you don’t have an account with Food Lion yet, you can quickly create one for free and make sure to link up your MVP card to your account. Then, when it comes time to shop at Food Lion, just get the items you want and present your MVP card to the cashier and the coupons you loaded online to your MVP card will automatically be applied with your purchase. That easy! No need to clip or print coupons anymore! Now, if you do like paper coupons, you have that option too. Just print the coupons from the MVP Coupon Hub site and present them at the cashier with your MVP card and it will work the same way!
And as if saving money and time isn’t enough, Food Lion is also offering everyone of you a chance to win up to $1,000 Food Lion gift card now through March 4th with their “Save to Win” sweepstakes! Each week during this time period, you have the chance to win one of eight (8) $25 Food Lion gift cards which will be loaded onto your MVP card. A grand prize winner will be selected to receive $1,000 loaded onto their MVP card to use for their grocery purchases.
To enter the “Save to Win” sweepstakes, simply visit the Food Lion MVP Coupon Hub, register your MVP card and load coupons onto your MVP card account and you are automatically entered into the sweepstakes! See the Official Rules of the sweepstakes for more details.
