June is National Dairy Month and we're celebrating with this new delicious recipe: Berry Fresh Fruit Cones made with Hood Cottage Cheese!

The month of June is National Dairy Month and it’s a great opportunity to celebrate the dairy products we love!

And to celebrate, I’m thrilled to be partnering with Hood Cottage Cheese and bring you a new summer recipe you and your family will love: Berry Fresh Fruit Cones!

Hood Cottage Cheese is so creamy and has perfectly blended flavors with each bite. And if you’re anything like me and you look at the nutrition labels before you buy a product, you’ll be glad to know that Hood Cottage Cheese is a great source of calcium and is packed with 10+ grams of protein per serving!

I discovered Hood’s unique line of sweet, savory and classic cottage cheese flavors at one of my favorite local grocery stores. You know, I’m always on the lookout for new ways to eat healthier and I found that incorporating Hood Cottage Cheese in my recipes is a great way to eat healthy, without sacrificing on taste and quality of our food. As a busy mom and business owner, I’m always on the go so I try to keep my everyday routine easy and simple.  I love that I can easily grab Hood Cottage Cheese from my fridge and go! It’s a delicious and versatile snack on its own, or when I have enough time to spare, I try to pair it with other foods – like as a topper with my favorite whole wheat crackers or as a dip with pita chips. And then again, I love cottage cheese on salads and as a topping for healthy fruit desserts. I like to keep the integrity of the texture of cottage cheese and not alter it too much, so I try to stay away from recipes that involve baking or smoothing out of the cottage cheese.

It’s really amazing how many ways you can use Hood Cottage Cheese in your everyday recipes!

Hood has been around since 1846 and the cottage cheese is great.
I like that the Berry Fresh Fruit Cones recipe brings Hood together with the cone to bring the calcium and protein per serving.

I never would’ve thought about adding cottage cheese to a dessert. I also didn’t know that there were fruit flavored ones. These treats look pretty great! I may look for some good substitutes as well.

We made a similar dessert for an ice cream party my kids had in their neighborhood. This reminds me that I should do something similar again. It was a healthy hit!
