Easy Baked Curry Chicken Drumsticks

  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp. thyme, dried
  • 2 tbsp. curry powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a bowl, combine the buttermilk and chicken legs. Let sit for at 2 hours, up to 6 hours.
  2. In a separate mixing bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and all the seasoning.
  3. Remove the chicken legs from the buttermilk mixture and place them in a clean bowl.
  4. Coat each chicken drumstick with the breadcrumb mixture, making sure to coat on all sides. 
  5. Place the chicken legs on a parchment lined baking pan.
  6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  7. When all legs are coated and seasoned, place in the oven.
  8. Bake for approximately 40 – 50 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 185.
  9. Serve with your favorite veggie side or steamed rice.
