Thanksgiving Day is only two days away. Are you all prepared and ready to cook up your family's favorite Thanksgiving meals?
If you're still looking for last-minute Thanksgiving meal recipes, go to Walmart online for their "Cooking For the Holidays" section. With food prices on the rise, it becomes a challenge for us budget-conscious moms to think up great, tasty and affordable meals for the holidays.
Don't fret. The good news is that, if you're a frequent Walmart shopper like I am, you'll be glad to know that for as low as $20, you can create a delicious, unforgettable Thanksgiving Meal for Eight. The Thanksgiving Meal includes one 12-pound Grade-A turkey, three cans of vegetables, three boxes of stuffing mix, one 5-pound bag of red potatoes, two cans of cranberry sauce, one package of dinner rolls, and a pumpkin roll cake for dessert! Sounds too good to be true? Well, go ahead and watch this video.
And if you're less confident in the kitchen, Food Network star Melissa d'Arabian shows you how to create tasty twists on traditional holiday dishes using the ingredients found in the Thanksgiving basket.
Walmart's Thanksgiving Meal for Eight for as low as $20 ensures everyone has the chance to enjoy this year's Thanksgiving.

My money saving tip is that when a product is on sale stock up on it. I always have a stock of canned goods, paper products, laundry detergent. If I find it on sale and have coupons that means its a stock up item. It may as well sit on my shelf rather then the store shelf.
I am faithful to rotate things also, which helps when stocking.
Thanks for the chance

cooupons and sales together help save alot. Buy extra turkey while its on sale and you can cook it for Christmas and even one when the house is all cold during a snowstorm.
My Mom always told me the best way to save money is to avoid the impulse buys. Go to the store with a list and stick to it, never stray, never buy extras.

We usually ask what dish everyone enjoys most during Thanksgiving and buy that. Why buy yams if they're gonna go to waste?
texas_heartland84[at]yahoo[dot]com
My memories are spending the day with my family and eating turkey. Plus I like to do sort of semi homemade sometimes, so I use Pepperidge farm bread stuffing with my homemade cornbread. It is great mixed together.
I use coupons and take a list and I don't buy anything not on the list.
I match coupons to my sale circulars. Also, Wal-Mart price matches competitors ads. This saves a ton of money. Thanks
Got you on Twitter, Facebook and signed up for newsletter under womantrvlr. We have an Italian Thanksgiving with antipasto, lasagna, turkey with all the trimmings.
I match the weekly sales with coupons at two stores (right next to each other) and then shop at both for the best prices.
One of my favorite T-day memories would have to be the first time I became responsible for Thanksgiving dinner just a few years ago. I was sooooo worried that the turkey -first one I've ever cooked- would turn out badly. It turned out that my sister loved it and even thanked me for cooking it so well~
My best savings tip is to stock up when items are on sale. I also use coupons like crazy and I try to buy a few items each week for a number of weeks with my regular grocery list.

I make turkey pot pies from thanksgiving leftovers and freeze lots of them- these have far less sodium, better than store bought and very economical!writer61@yahoo.com
I definitely spent a lot more than $30 on Thanksgiving dinner. I usually do a lot better by shopping sales and using my coupons. I buy more than one paper so that I can stock up.

Use coupons and buy only when things are on sale. Some stores will double coupons.
To save money on Thanksgiving dinner, we all bring a dish or two to share so no one person is burdoned with footing the entire cost of the meal.
The best money saver is with our supermarket we get a free turkey from shopping here all year.
fav memorie is the year we all asat down to eat a beautiful meal with ham an turkey an the turkey skin was browned but the insides raw we laughted about that for years
My best tip for saving money on Thanksgiving dinner is to buy and freeze/preserve veggies locally, in the summer, when they're at their height of flavor and cheap, cheap, cheap. asthenight at gmail dot com
My best tip is to make a list of all of the things you are going to need for the holidays and make a single trip to the store. That was you get in and out of the store easily and you don't make a bunch of impulse buys!

I start watching the grocery store ads/special sales about 2 months before the holidays (even more than usual). I keep track of what I'm thinking I'll need for the holidays and the lowest sale prices for those items. Then, as time gets closer, if I find something at (or below) that price, I grab it and often get several to stock up!
Watch the flyers for the loss leaders, combine them with coupons and stock up on frozen and non-perishable items--that can save a lot!

I buy everything when it goes on sale, and use coupons for them, things you can buy ahead of time like the canned stuff do it in the weeks before thxgiving!

My favorite Thanksgiving memory is from years ago when all my extended family still got together. My grandfather was alive, my grandmother would divide all her savings in change amongst the grandkids. All the aunts working in the kitchen, one uncle carving turkey, the rest fo the men folk visiting in front of the fireplace and cousins running around all over the house. All the cousins are grown up now and we haven't gotten together for Thanksgiving in several years.
