Smart Allergy Mom Toolkit: Get Answers to Your Child’s Allergy Questions

I am participating in an Ambassador program on behalf of Influence Central and hosted by Claritin®. I have received compensation to thank me for my participation. All opinions expressed are my own.

School is back, the leaves are falling. The kids are enjoying the weekends at the pumpkin patches, and of course we are all working on our winter plans already.

But, has it happened yet? Have you had to keep your child home from school? You know, the runny nose that seems to just linger? Unfortunately, back to school combined with seasonal allergies we all wonder if the kids are sick. And with school being so important, it is unfortunate when kids sometimes miss it when they don’t have to! Allergy symptoms can be managed! As someone who personally suffers from mild allergies, I wonder and then double-check: is it an allergy nasal drip issue, or am I getting a cold?

The same goes for my kids who also get allergy symptoms. Of course you don’t want your kid spreading any illness, so the ability to determine whether caused by colds or allergies proves invaluable. The “Smart Allergy Mom TM Toolkit,” (I’ll explain that more soon, don’t worry) is an online resource that helps parents learn more about their kids’ allergies, how to manage them, and make smart decisions.

The Makers of Children’s Claritin® have created the “Smart Allergy Mom TM Toolkit so that moms can:

  • learn about seasonal symptoms
  • consider allergy relief options,
  • understand what allergies are
  • have talking points for having an allergy discussion with their child’s pediatrician

What I like best is the allergy forecast tool. Tools to help make parenting easier are always welcome here! As a parent, having helpful “toolboxes” are important! Since I know what allergens we generally have, and I know the symptoms of allergy versus cold, I know when I need to treat my kids’ allergy symptoms and send them to school, instead of keeping them home. Of course, I have our pediatric doctor on my phone so I can call with additional questions or make an appointment as needed.

Children’s Claritin is the #1 Pediatrician Recommended Non-Drowsy Oral Allergy Brand for kids ages 2+. It gives 24-hour relief of runny nose, sneezing, itchy, watery eyes and itchy nose or throat and is in chewables and syrup form for easy use and to keep my kids in school.
