Many moms face the challenge of losing their post-baby weight. It even becomes more difficult with a new little one at home but sometimes by carrying a little extra weight, we don’t quite feel like ourselves. Of course, those wanting to lose weight can click here to learn about some methods that may work or perhaps hire a personal trainer but that can often be time-consuming, especially with a newborn baby that comes first.
But Caprice Corona, a 33 year-old opera singer and a stay-at-home new mom from New York, took the weight loss challenge on the Web show series – “Knock Out the Fat With George” even with an eight-month old baby at home. Over a six-month period, Corona lost a total of 56 pounds making her the grand prize winner out of three other contestants on the weight loss competition. Back to her coveted pre-pregnancy weight, Caprice received a trip for two to the spa of her choice worth $15,000. The series finale can be viewed at www.KnockOutTheFat.com.
Unlike other popular weight-loss shows that isolate participants and require intense workout and diet regimens, “Knock Out the Fat With George” presented a realistic approach that is replicable for viewers and maintainable for anyone interested in achieving a healthier weight. Contestants engaged in friendly competition and moderate exercise and used George Foreman grills to cook flavorful meals made healthier by the patented grill design.
The contestants were afforded exciting opportunities such as filming episodes with tennis star Monica Seles at the 2008 U.S. Open and the inspirational Heath Smith, a formerly obese Colorado resident who lost nearly 300 pounds by initiating a healthy cooking and eating plan using a George Foreman grill. Since his transformation, Smith has shared his inspirational story with many through appearances on national television and committed himself to motivating others to lead healthier lives.
