The other day, I was shopping at my local Target (mask on, following those aisle arrows!) and I was daydreaming about pumpkin spice while also thinking about what my kids need for school. I was in the granola bar aisle and went to grab a box of Nature’s Bakery fig bar when there it was – a new flavor of bar. You guessed it — PUMPKIN SPICE! Do I sound a little crazy? I’m not! And here is why…

Okay, okay, I couldn’t wait to get home, I used some quick hand sanitizer and opened a pack right in the car (the bars don’t crumble, melt or break so they are actually quite a neat treat for a car ride). One bite and I was hooked. These wholesome, soft-baked snacks has the taste of pumpkin pie goodness with hints of cinnamon, sweet nutmeg, and real pumpkin.
When I got home, I gave my kids the Nature’s Bakery Pumpkin Spice Fig Bar and they agreed that this was the new fall-favorite snack. I now know exactly what I will be serving for breakfast on busy school mornings. I also know what will be packed in my kids bags for a midday school snack.
