Hair Cuttery “Share A Haircut”: FREE Haircuts to Underprivileged Children

This post was sponsored by Hair Cuttery. All opinions and text are mine.

I love supporting great causes and being that I have worked with hundreds of brands since starting Hip Mama’s Place in 2007,  I also recognize those brands that are really passionate about helping causes to help individuals and families who are “less fortunate”.

One of those brands that I truly admire is Hair Cuttery.  For one thing, they were one of my major sponsors when I hosted this shopping event for a great cause back in 2013 to help my local Autism Society. I simply contacted them to help me out with my event and they didn’t hesitate to say yes once they learned it was for a great cause. I love Hair Cuttery!

Share A Haircut 2017 by Hair Cuttery

This isn’t the first time I’ve mentioned about the “Share-A-Haircut” campaign by Hair Cuttery. So when they contacted me to help promote this campaign again for this year, I jumped at the opportunity. I’m all about supporting great causes, and Hair Cuttery has always been close to my heart and the great causes that they support.

So this year, I’m more than happy to share that the “Share-A-Haircut” free haircut program by Hair Cuttery will be running from August 1st to the 15th. For every child up to age 18 who purchases a haircut at one of Hair Cuttery’s almost 900 salons, one free haircut certificate will be donated to an underprivileged child in that same community.

The Share-a-Haircut program was created by Hair Cuttery to give free haircuts to underprivileged community members, specifically kids in need as they head back-to-school. Since then, they’ve expanded the program to touch people of all ages. This being the 18th anniversary of the program, Hair Cuttery is determined to donate tens of thousands of free haircut certificates. To date, the Share-A-Haircut program has reached more than 2.16M people with haircut certificate donations, valued at $35 million.

Hair Cuttery "Share-A-Haircut" program runs from August 1-15, 2017

Now, how will the children receive their free haircuts? In each market, certificates are distributed with the help of more than 100 local government and non-profit organizations that are closely tied to each community.  This year, Hair Cuttery hopes to reach tens of thousands of children in need this year!  What with back-to-school coming up very soon for some of us, this is perfect timing! 🙂

So go ahead spread the word about this amazing program to help kids in need from Hair Cuttery!

Fantastic! I love this campaign. I tend to patronize businesses that give back to the community and this free haircut program is the best back to school freebie I have seen so far. Thanks for letting me know. I will see how I can do my part in helping push this campaign forward.

That’s so cool that you are giving to needy kids around the world. I hope that it is a very popular program. If I had a boy I would take them but as I have a daughter and she would have a panic attack if I took her to cut her hair I probably won’t be doing that.

This is just wonderful. It’s not one of the first things you think of when you think necessities, but it makes such an incredible difference. Thanks for bringing this cause to light.

This is lovely, I think it’s awesome that they’re donating a free hair cut to kids that need it most. It’s also a nice way to teach kids about giving back.

This is a great campaign. I was raised by my grandmother and we always did haircuts at home because we couldn’t afford elsewise. It is nice that kids who need haircuts can get them through this program.

This is awesome! I love giving back and helping others. Thank you to Hair Cuttery for offering free haircuts to children.

This is such a great initiative. These haircut vouchers will be really helpful for people who otherwise couldn’t afford a trip to the salon.

We were the recipients of one of these hair cut vouchers. It really was a life saver as we couldn’t afford to get my husband’s hair cut for work and he can get a write up for messy hair.

What a great program. Trips to the hair salon can put a strain on financed and I’m glad they’re doing something for the community.

What a beautiful initiative! So many of us take our children for back to school haircuts anyway, so you might as well help give back in the process.

  23. August 3, 2017 / 5:57 pm

I guess it’s haircut time! It’s definitely good timing. This is such a wonderful way to give back to the community.

I love to promote business who do things like this! So proud of them! Every business should do outreach programs. I know I will be sharing this information with others! It’s just good business!

This is so wonderful! I’ve never thought about the fact that kids in need can’t get haircuts. It makes sense, though. Kids in need live in families that can’t afford much of anything. I love this!
