MagiQuest Debuts at Great Wolf Lodge – Williamsburg, Virginia

If you are looking for some adventure and fun all wrapped up in one beautiful resort, you need to visit Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA!  I have always thought of it as just a water park, but I was completely wrong.  We have never visited there before so when I was lucky enough to get an invite from Jocelyn to experience their MagiQuest: Guardians of the Realm game, I quickly said yes.

What is MagiQuest?

MagiQuest is a resort-wide interactive game that has debuted at the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA.  On this quest, you use a magic wand to help you discover relics and ruins needed to defeat dragons and goblins and save the realm. It took us a little bit to figure out how it all worked, but once we did—-we were hooked. The game takes you to all levels of the resort, trying to find magical items to solve various quests. (Be prepared to hit your daily steps because you will do a lot of walking!)

My boys LOVED it!  The wands were super easy to use, the interactive maps were very helpful, and the app gave us some much needed tips. You take home your wand home as a souvenir and it will remember all of your completed quests, to pick up where you left off at your next visit to any Great Wolf Lodge! The resort adds updates and new quests, so you won’t run out of adventures.

During our visit, we also got a chance to experience their Spring-a-Palooza celebration.  Running until April 16, 2017, Spring-a-Palooza celebrates everything spring. Given the cold temperatures and recent snowstorm, celebrating Spring is a great idea to me! We got to experience the “Spring Picnic” in the Grand Lobby, we danced around to a bubble party, and also played a few rounds of “Take A Wiley Guess.”

Our adventure concluded in the Northern Lights Arcade, where I think my 7 year old made out with every prize there!

The resort is amazing and all of the staff was incredibly kind and helpful.  Everything was very clean and well organized, including various attendants offering to give help in the MagiQuest area.  While I didn’t get a chance to test out the water park area, it looks like it would be a blast!

We all had a fantastic time at Great Wolf Lodge and definitely will be going back there very soon.

Our Great Wolf Lodge has it, and it’s so much fun! I wish I had known how much there is to do at Great Wolf Lodge outside of the water. Should have booked at least one more day!
