I just got back from our end of summer family beach trip in Virginia Beach and as always, it was great fun! So now, I’m slowly catching up with everything. I know summer is winding down, but that doesn’t stop me from taking advantage of this time with my family! 🙂

If you live in or near Washington, DC and love savoring special moments with your family and indulging in frozen treats like we do,  you’ll be glad to know that this August, Good Humor is surprising and delighting DC residents with special frozen treats and other unexpected delights! This is part of their “Welcome to Joyhood” summer campaign that started in New York City and Philadelphia.

A few days ago on August 11, Good Humor® teamed up with the Washington Nationals mascots to surprise and delight Washington D.C. residents, stopping by Metro Center from 12 – 12:30 p.m. and Dupont Circle from 12:45 – 1:15 p.m. to offer frozen treats, photo opps and other fun surprises!

So you might ask, “what’s this campaign all about?'” The answer is simple: Good Humor is continuing its mission to bring joy to the mundane moments of everyday life.. transforming East Coast cities into capitals of joy, one neighborhood at a time. From now through August 22nd, the Good Humor Joy Squad will be serving up free frozen treats from the iconic Good Humor ice cream truck and will show up in neighborhoods and at events, local retailers and local businesses – as well as some unexpected places in Washington, DC!
