Description

This garlic butter shrimp recipe is quick, easy, and ready in just 20 minutes. Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off, your preference)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

½ cup butter, 1 stick

5 cloves garlic, minced

¼ cup chicken broth

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 tablespoon lemon zest

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes


Instructions

Toss the shrimp with olive oil, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, until opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Add butter to the same skillet and melt over medium heat. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 30 seconds to a minute, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Pour the chicken broth into the skillet and let it simmer for a minute or two, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

Stir in the parsley, lemon juice, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute.

Transfer the shrimp back to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Serve immediately.
