Last week, my family and I went to see an international friendly game between the U.S. national soccer team versus the Jamaican team at the Audi Field in Washington, DC. Even though the U.S. team didn’t win, the experience of watching a professional soccer game was a treat in itself and we all enjoyed it very much.
My husband is a huge soccer fan and used to play recreational soccer at our county’s adult soccer league. My stepson (who’s now in college) also played soccer in middle school and in high school and each year, we would go to at least a few Major League Soccer games, usually here in Washington, DC and in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We always have great fun every time we watch a soccer game. I have come to love soccer too and I guess you can say I married into it and now I’m the loudest cheerer in our group every time we watch soccer, lol.
