Last week, my family and I went to see an international friendly game between the U.S. national soccer team versus the Jamaican team at the Audi Field in Washington, DC. Even though the U.S. team didn’t win, the experience of watching a professional soccer game was a treat in itself and we all enjoyed it very much.
My husband is a huge soccer fan and used to play recreational soccer at our county’s adult soccer league. My stepson (who’s now in college) also played soccer in middle school and in high school and each year, we would go to at least a few Major League Soccer games, usually here in Washington, DC and in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We always have great fun every time we watch a soccer game. I have come to love soccer too and I guess you can say I married into it and now I’m the loudest cheerer in our group every time we watch soccer, lol.
Which is why, I’m excited to tell you about the International Champions Cup. If you love watching world-class soccer in person, this is your chance to do it again!
The International Champions Cup (ICC) is the world’s premier summer soccer tournament featuring the world’s top professional players and clubs like Real Madrid, FC Bayern and Arsenal to name a few. This year, the International Champions Cup will host 11 matches in the United States in some of the country’s most iconic stadiums and it could be in a city near you!
We’re so excited for the Real Madrid versus Arsenal playing at the FEDEX Field in Washington, DC on July 23rd and I’m sure it will be a lot of fun! My family and I saw Real Madrid play here in Washington, DC a few years ago and I remember what a fantastic time we all had.
