Make this viral TikTok ramen recipe in about 20 minutes using simple pantry ingredients. Buttery garlic noodles with egg create a cozy, budget-friendly comfort meal perfect for quick lunches or easy weeknight dinners.

2 packages instant ramen noodles

2 tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

2 tablespoons brown sugar

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 eggs

Furikake or everything bagel seasoning, for garnish

Chopped green onions, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Boil water in a medium pot over high heat. Add the noodles. Save the seasoning packets for another recipe.
  2. Cook the noodles for 3 minutes until they are tender but still firm. Reserve about a ¼ cup of the pasta water before draining. Drain the noodles.
  3. Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper. Saute for 30 seconds until the garlic is fragrant.
  4. Stir in the brown sugar and soy sauce. Simmer for another 30 seconds until the sugar dissolves.
  5. Toss the noodles into the skillet and coat with the sauce using tongs.
  6. Push the noodles to one side of the skillet to create an open space. Crack the eggs into the empty side.
  7. Scramble the eggs until they are cooked through but soft.
  8. Mix the scrambled eggs into the noodles to distribute them.
  9. Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the reserved pasta water if the noodles look dry or clumpy.
  10. Sprinkle the furikake and chopped scallions over the noodles.
  11. Divide the noodles between two bowls and serve while hot.
