Black Lives Matter Organizations You Can Donate Money To Right Now

Here’s a great list of the most reputable organizations which help support the Black Lives Matter movement. Take a look at how each organization contributes to the cause and then decide which ones you want to support.

black lives matter organizations to donate to

The year 2020 has not been easy. The first half of the year brought a global pandemic, effecting millions of people and changing the way the entire world functions. Now, we in the United States are facing yet another challenge as riots and protests are sweeping the nation. However, this challenge is not new and it is not unwarranted. In fact, it may be something that we as a country need in order to improve as a nation and as human beings.

On February 23rd, Ahmaud Arbery was shot by two white males as he was out for a jog in Brunswick, Georgia. A few short weeks later, Breonna Taylor was shot multiple times in her own home by police officers. On May 29th, Tony McDade was also shot by a police officer and died as a result. And just four days before, George Floyd was killed by a police officer who kneeled on Floyd’s neck despite the pleas for help. While these are the names that have caused people to stand up and speak out in 2020, hosting protests and demonstrations across the country, they are not the only names on the unbearably long list of black men and women who have faced violence every day in the United States. It is time for it all to end… and YOU CAN HELP.

Instead of remembering the year 2020 as the year that COVID19 shook the world or the year when riots broke out across America, let’s make the year 2020 one of hopeful change. Let’s make it a year where we become better people. Where we face our mistakes as a country and push forward. Let’s make 2020 the year when we all banded together and supported the Black Lives Matter movement.

I have gathered together a list of the most reputable organizations which help support the Black Lives Matter movement.
