There’s no denying that blogging has quickly become one of the fastest growing sectors in the online world and more and more people everyday want to create a blog and begin their blogging journey. As someone who has been blogging for almost a decade now, I know blogs are created for any number of reasons.

I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t love it. It’s a great way to meet people and learn new things. My knowledge of the internet has improved a lot too. Through research for my blog, I’ve found out a lot about online activity, Google, and how simple things like your WordPress theme can affect your SEO. I’m learning how Google ranks different factors. But it’s not just better knowledge you get from starting a blog, so here are 18 reasons why you should start a blog soon. You’ll see how blogging can benefit you and your business. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

1. Keeps You Connected – Too many times people begin a home based business and forget their need for socialization. We need others and starting a blog is a great way to connect with other real people while you are at home or traveling

2. Help Others – Blogs are not just made for the creator to help themselves. More often than not, the blogs are created to give advice to other people and therefore help them out in their daily lives and any struggles they may be facing.

3. Therapy – People will spend thousands to talk to a professional about what they are feeling. There is no shame in seeking help when it is needed, but before you shell out that amount of money, give blogging a try. It is a great way to get your thoughts and feelings out and relieve any anxieties.



4. Hone Your Ideas – You may have some awesome ideas, but any time you can collaborate with others, your ideas can grow exponentially because we all think differently.

5. Sense of Community – Finding your place within a traditional community can be quite difficult, yet your online community through your blog can bring you the sense of community you desire through networking with other likeminded individuals

    People keep telling me that it’s all I ever go on about, but there are so many opportunities if people use the skills they have to blog. Such an easy barrier to entry and the rewards are crazy

    Yes, it does offer many opportunities for growth and it takes tremendous effort to do it well. I’ve been at for almost a decade and my advice is to set realistic goals when starting a blog, and go for it.

    A lot of these reasons are very true. I’ve made several good friends through blogging, and have made income of some sort through blogging since 2013 / 2014. My big goal now is to make more and get a press trip.
