“Hey, let’s go work out.” Yeah, something we would say back in college, but now, honestly, working out is something we need to make time for, and it can easily be put off! But, really, working out is part of our health and wellness.
For that reason, I’m sharing these four ways to get motivated to work out, depending on your motivation style. Because, yes, we all are motivated by different things, so what works for me, may not work for you.
- Are you a check list sort of gal? Then to motivate you to work out, make a calendar! You can even set “workout goals” on your Google Calendar now which can help you “pencil in” time to get your workout in.
- Have you saved an old outfit that you don’t fit anymore? Try it on! And try it on weekly until it fits. Seeing changes in your body, especially if it is more of a “shape” issue than pounds to lose, can be useful. With each workout, you’ll get closer to having your old body shape.
- If you’ve failed your fitness goals in the past, make mini goals. This is important psychologically, especially if you have a long way to go to meet your fitness goals. Make your first goal something you KNOW you can do so that you aren’t discouraged from the get-go. An example would be “go for a walk every evening” and “eat a salad for lunch each week with only 1 serving of dressing, on the side.” With the walk, you aren’t saying how far, and so you can DO it. Once you have a week of it under your belt, you’ll know exactly what your minimum is for time, expand it slightly each week until you’re getting in a real workout from the walk. Over time, it may become a jog, and then a run! But don’t make the run your first goal if you’re a long way from being classified as “fit.”
- Want something new? Need a new hair cut? By all means, reward yourself. But only after you’ve met your workout goals for two weeks. While you may already have the money or means to get those rewards, by making it an external motivation to get to the gym, or go to the morning Boot Camp, you’re more likely to keep on it.
Whether you’re heading out for some time on the elliptical and having an arms day, or just going for a run, great music makes the time go by faster. You may think that it’s impossible to buy headphones that will stay on during exercise but the best bone conduction headphones will allow you to run, jump, and move as much as you want and won’t fall off. AfterShokz Bluez 2S wireless stereo headphones make it easy for you to keep connected while you’re on the run. With work, family, and more there’s a need to stay connected.
Enhanced features include:
Premium open ear audio experience
PremiumPitch+™ is proprietary audio technology that assures the finest in bone conduction audio. PremiumPitch+™ delivers a balance of crisp detail and discernable bass, with two EQ presets to enhance music further. The secret to clearer phone calls is the precisely placed dual noise-canceling microphones that exclude surrounding noise, effectively enhancing speech. Finally, battling the single most frustrating drawback of bone conduction-natural sound leakage-is LeakSlayer™, an innovation that works to release sound generated by the transducers in order to cancel sound generated by the housing. Even at high volume, music and conversations are confined to the wearer.
Increased sweat resistance – IP55 certified
Bluez 2S are IP55 rated to ensure they’ll power through daily sweat sessions and wicked weather. An extra layer of protective housing was added to make sure sweat and moisture won’t damage electronics inside.
Controlling music and call features right from the headset has been a fan favorite, as it allows devices to remain safely tucked away during activity. A raised power button and larger volume button delivers a friendlier user experience.
AfterShokz features bone conduction technology, an open ear design and a suite of convenient features keep you connected to your music and calls on the road, at work and everything in between. One awesome feature of AfterShokz Blues 2S Bone conduction technology delivers music through your cheekbones, ensuring ears remain completely open to hear ambient sounds.
