VeggieTales: “Robin Good and His Not-So-Merry Men” and “If I Sang A Silly Song” – DVD Review and Giveaway

We were so thrilled when Veggie Tales sent us two of their newest DVD titles: “Robin Good & His Not So Merry Men” and “If I Sang A Silly Song”. My boys love the hilarious veggie characters, silly songs and fun stories in all of our Veggie Tales DVD collection and these two new titles did not disappoint.

I love how every Veggie Tales story incorporates Bible characters, teaches good values and makes us learn valuable life lessons.

In Veggie Tales: Robin Good and His Not-So-Merry Men, the stories offer suggestions and lessons in how to handle hurt feelings – something that we all experience throughout our lives.

DVD Synopsis:

A long time ago, in the faraway town of Bethlingham, roved a band of merry men, led by the fearless Robin Good. Their mission: to help people by fundraising from the rich and giving to the poor! But when a greedy Prince starts stealing the townspeople’s hams, donations are down and Robin’s friends take off and decide to give robbing from the rich a try. Feeling rejected, Robin thinks things can’t get any worse, until he finds out that the ham-hoarding Prince has also captured his friends. Can Robin overcome his own hurt, rescue his friends and restore the townspeople’s hope? Find out in this fun Veggie story where kids learn that there’s no hurt too big for God!

The first time my six year old Gabriel and my little one Jaden watched Robin Good, they really enjoyed it. They giggled and laughed, sang and hopped, and then had adorable sad expressions on their little faces at times. They were wildly entertained while they were getting into these fun Veggie Tales stories. I myself was greatly amused while watching this movie with my kids, more so when I saw how much they really enjoyed it! :)

Now, if your little one loves the silly songs from VeggieTales movies, then she is going to love VeggieTales: If I Sang a Silly Song DVD! This fun-filled DVD contains over 60 minutes of fun music and family-friendly content with “singalong” karaoke versions of each song. Your child can follow along with her favorite characters, or be the star of the song with video and background tracks! My kids loved learning and singing these fun Veggie Tales songs and I know that they will be enjoying these for many years to come!

Silly Songs included: I Love My Lips, The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything, Belly Button, His Cheeseburger, Endangered Love, The Water Buffalo Song, The Song of the Cebu, Dance of the Cucumber, Yodeling Veterinarian of the Alps, Monkey, The Hairbrush Song, Biscuit of Zazzamarandabo, The SUV Song, Lance the Turtle, Gated Community, Where Have All The Staplers Gone?, Sippy Cup, Pants, Pizza Angel, Goodnight Junior and plus, the all new silly song: Bubble Rap which was my kids’ top favorite! So funny.

Thumbs up for both VeggieTales: “Robin Good and His Not-So-Merry Men” and “If I Sang A Silly Song” DVD’s for the laugh-out-loud fun characters and dialogues, silly, makes-you-get-up and dance songs and stories that touch the heart!
