Last year, Hip Mama’s Place participated in promoting the Kohl’s Cares for Kids® program– a charitable program that features $5 merchandise at Kohl’s stores with 100 percent of net profit benefiting children’s health and education initiatives nationwide.
This year, in celebration of its 10th year anniversary, Kohl’s Cares for Kids® program is offering yet another exciting stuff for kids featuring four Dr. Suess books and their coordinating plush toys- for just $5 each!
My boys- especially my (advanced reader) four year old son Gabriel, love anything Dr. Seuss! So we were thrilled to receive the books and coordinating plush toys to review. We already own The Lorax, but have not read the other three titles from this set. By far, the boys’ new favorite Dr. Seuss book is “Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!” Just like any of Dr. Seuss books, the silliness and rhyming texts of this book never fail to amuse and the illustrations are impressive. This book teaches children how to use their imaginations and encourages them to explore the world without fear. This is a fantastic read-aloud book for beginning readers!
In 2009, Newsweek named Kohl’s as the number one green retailer. This year, Kohl’s is pleased to offer The Lorax at such an incredible value to help kids learn the importance of caring for the environment. Also, all four Dr. Seuss books that are offered as part of the Kohl’s Cares for Kids® program are printed on 60 percent post-consumer recycled paper.
For adults, Kohl’s came out with The Green Book to raise awareness on “going green” and how to take steps to be more environmentally responsible. You can find out what famous celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Ellen DeGeneres, Will Ferrell, Faith Hill, and Martha Stewart are doing to help the environment in this book.
So this spring, why don’t you get your child and yourself reading, go green and give back to your local community with these cool stuff from Kohl’s? These stuff are all bargains for just $5 each! Available for purchase now at more than 1,000 Kohl’s stores nationwide and at www.kohls.com
