It's funny how he crawls very fast, wobbles around, and holds onto furniture and toys to maintain his balance. I get excited whenever I see him trying to pull up to stand and struggling to walk. So lately I've started helping him to practice walking more- mostly with bare feet. Although I've learned that the best way to have a baby learn his first steps is to have him walk without wearing shoes, I still put on his shoes for protection whenever we're outside walking on hard pavement or on rough floor surfaces indoors.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_VIfZCJ6epWQ/SBXW-q-wswI/AAAAAAAAAvs/qbYjRFj1xqQ/s200/boden.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5194294117419496194" /> *The Boden- midnight blue and race car red trainer delight!

So when we received the first pair of See Kai Run shoes for him, it was just perfect timing!

If you haven't heard of or seen See Kai Run brand of shoes for babies and toddlers yet, then read on.

First time I saw a pair of the See Kai Run at my favorite baby boutique where I live, I literally grabbed them from the display shelf to try them on my little one's feet! I just got completely taken by their bold, sophisticated design and hip, fun colors. I thought the leather they're made of looked soft and luxurious, which I found out later were soft sheepskin leather. And the adjustable Velcro closures-
very convenient when I tried to put the shoes on and off my baby's feet! And most of all, the shoes fit perfectly!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_VIfZCJ6epWQ/SBXXNq-wsxI/AAAAAAAAAv0/oMtlEVYSr3E/s200/raeden.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5194294375117533970" /> *The Raeden- stylish, breezy and cool

Other unique features of the See Kai Run shoes include:

-flexible rubber sole (healthy for developing feet but sturdy enough for outdoor play!)

-generous width and wide toe box (for plenty of wiggle room!)

-padded collars (for extra comfort)

-breathable leather insole and lining

A little history about this well-thought of product: See Kai Run was created by a mom who wanted to offer comfortable shoes for her baby that will have flexibile soles to wear outdoors. Combining comfort, fun style, and urban sensibility, See Kai Run became an overwhelming hit in baby boutiques since its introduction in 2004. With various style offerings for both little boys and girls such as sandals, boots, Mary Janes, trainers, and classic styles with modern twists, these children's shoes are what we parents crave for- hip, unique styles that help reflect our child's personality.. including our own.

And for the new moms, mark your calendars this coming August 2008. See Kai Run is coming up with a new line of soft-soled baby booties called Smaller by See Kai Run, in sizes 0 to eighteen months and will be available in stores starting then.

See Kai Run shoes retails from $26-$36, at SeeKaiRun.com and select baby shoe retailers and stylish boutiques near you.

*This contest is now closed.

*Win A Pair of See Kai Run in Boden (size 5), fit for your 18-24 month old little boy! Leave a comment once on this post by Monday, May 5th, 12MN CST and be entered to win.
