The Runaway Bunny Board Book – another classic Easter story by Margaret Wise Brown tells of a steadfast love of a mother bunny to her young bunny who kept running away. But no matter where the young bunny tries to hide, the adoring, protective mother always finds a way to retrieve him. I loved reading this beautifully-written book as a child and I have read this to my children many times. My kids love the colorful pages and beautiful illustrations of this book too! Recommended age: from Baby to Preschool. Available at Amazon.com or leading store retailers near you!

Synopsis:

The Runaway Bunny begins with a young bunny who decides to run away: “‘If you run away,’ said his mother, ‘I will run after you. For you are my little bunny.'” And so begins a delightful, imaginary game of chase. No matter how many forms the little bunny takes–a fish in a stream, a crocus in a hidden garden, a rock on a mountain–his steadfast, adoring, protective mother finds a way of retrieving him. The soothing rhythm of the bunny banter–along with the surreal, dream-like pictures–never fail to infuse young readers with a complete sense of security and peace. For any small child who has toyed with the idea of running away or testing the strength of Mom’s love, this old favorite will comfort and reassure.

Here Comes Peter Cottontail DVD – a classic, fun Easter tale every parent should share with their children. Featuring catchy songs and great 1970s stop-motion animation, this cheery and colorful Easter tale is based on a book titled “The Easter Bunny Who Overslept”. My kids and I loved the adorable characters in this story especially Peter Cottontail and Seymour S. Sassafras. It’s truly a classic Easter story that will warm every child’s heart! Even adults will enjoy this classic Easter movie too! Available at Amazon.com or leading store retailers near you!

Synopsis:

Peter Cottontail wants to be the chief Easter Bunny, and everyone in April Valley agrees…except for Evil Irontail. Peter must deliver more eggs than this archrival to earn the top spot…and save Easter for children everywhere! Hop along with Peter and his friend Seymore S. Sassafrass as they race through time to overcome Irontail’s terrible plans and restore the magic of Easter Sunday. This remastered version is an Easter classic loved by all!

VeggieTales: THE LITTLE HOUSE THAT STOOD DVD– as a parent, we know how important it is to impart good values to our children as early as possible. We don’t really have an Easter tradition since every year is something different… This year we’re going to church with my sister in law who is visiting from out of town and then will have a nice lunch at our house.

What a great giveaway! Our son is only 28 months so this will be the first Easter he is interested in. Last year it was so hot so after church, instead of hiding eggs, we hid water balloons! He had a great time popping them. This year, we will be celebrating our Savior and Salvation by reading the resurrection story and hanging out as a family. We will hide some eggs after church.
