DIY Spearmint Sugar Lip Scrub

Ingredients

3 tbsp. raw sugar
1  tbsp granulated sugar
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp olive oil
16 drops spearmint essential oil

Directions:

Make this easy Sugar Scrub in just minutes!

DIY

Mix all together in a small glass jar using a clean wooden or plastic spoon. Incorporate the oils together if it is above 75 degrees (and the coconut oil is solid).

To use:

Only use clean, dry spoons or knives to get the sugar scrub out, to allow it to stay fresh and uncontaminated.

Why these ingredients?

When it comes to making a sugar lip scrub, I choose the best ingredients, and choose to make it as wholesome as possible. If you’re going to do it, do it right! Coconut oil is used in ayurveda for many purposes and can be found all over tropic cultures as an almost “cure-all.” While it may not be a cure-all, it definitely is a great ingredient for your a lip scrub. Using raw sugar is a great option since it is unbleached and will give a nice “scrubbing” texture. Finally, spearmint oil is refreshing and invigorating. By using quality ingredients, you can even use this to be a wonderful gift! Package it up nicely with a nice poem or card and you’re good to go!

Additional Uses for this DIY Spearmint Sugar Lip Scrub

This scrub can be used all over your body! Just use it before heading into the bath or shower and use a clean washcloth to remove.

When it comes to DIY, I’m for quality over quantity. I may not make everything at home, but the things I do make I choose to do with quality, natural ingredients. I also prefer ones like this that do not take a full day to do it right!
