I recently went to one of my favorite local drugstores (CVS) to check out a few vitamin supplements that I can take to better my health. While I've done my own research on what kind of supplements to take, I still find navigating the supplement aisle to be a bit of a challenge.
I'm glad I was introduced to Nutrition Possible™- a new website created by Centrum that offers trusted information from health sources, nutrition experts AND guided information through a unique self-assessment tool. I'm a super busy wife and mom of three and life sometimes can get so hectic. No matter what I do, I can't seem to find the time to get everything done. When I was in my 20's, I thought I was the most energetic woman on earth. Now, I seem to get tired quicker and my energy level is just not the same as what I had ten or even five years ago!
So when I was asked to take the assessment at Nutrition Possible online, I was curious to see what results I will get in terms of improving my health and wellness. At the start of the assessment, it asks to choose the top two things that you're currently concerned about your own health and wellness. For me, I chose how to improve my "energy levels" and "managing stress". With a series of questions that are all meant to personalize my own plan to better my health and nutrition, I took the assessment and carefully chose the answers that fit my current situation. The assessment took about three minutes to complete and when I finished answering all the questions, it gave me my own personalized plan which is a full list of suggested supplements to take, suggested foods to eat and suggested daily activities. Wow! I'm so glad I took the assessment on Nutrition Possible! It was easy and it really helped me see what I need to do to help myself improve in the way I eat and do things daily. Most of all, it alleviated my confusion over which supplements to get! Plus, it even printed out a high value coupon for Centrum supplements for me at the very end of my personalized plan. There was also a separate link to sign up to receive special offers from Centrum (like coupons and deals) and that was really neat!
To sum it all up, here are three key areas that Nutrition Possible is focused on:
*Supplements: The key to nutrition is making sure you are getting the right nutrients. NutritionPossible.com has the information you need to make more informed choices about how to enhance your diet with supplements.
*Food & Diet: Sorting through all the different information about what to eat and how much can be overwhelming. The goal is to help you identify the right nutrient–packed foods to include in your diet.
*Exercise & Lifestyle: Taking the right supplements and eating right, while a great start, is never enough. That's why the site provides a mix of practical and creative suggestions for things everyone can do to improve their health and well-being.

I took the assessment and it said I need more fruits and vegetables. I wasn't surprised. On the positive side, it said I'm doing well with beans. I think the assessment is a good nutritional tool.

I took the assessment, but it wouldn't go past the "which foods do you eat on a regular basis" page. No matter how many times I clicked next, nothing happened. :( I did follow you on twitter and facebook though.

The assessment told me that I needed more whole grains. I was kind of surprised by this because I thought (and thought being the key word here) that I was taking in enough whole grains.

Very interesting to see the suggestions build as I completed the assessment. Need to add more protein to my diet but very accurate and helpful. The $10 coupon at the end was a nice bonus too :)
