Wilson Phillips Returns with a New CD "Christmas in Harmony"- Review and Giveaway
I remember the female pop group, Wilson Phillips, back when I was in college in the early 90's. I used to love listening to their songs and even owned one of their most popular albums. My all-time favorite Wilson Phillips single is "You're In Love". I love, love, love that song! :)
Recently, I received a head's up that the award-winning trio is reuniting with a new album, "Christmas in Harmony". This classic Holiday album- released on Sony MASTERWORKS/DRW Entertainment- is filled with 13 Christmas songs including “Silver Bells”, “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”, “Winter Wonderland”, “The Christmas Song” and many more. There are also a few newly written Christmas songs - “Joy” which the three ladies- Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson and Chynna Phillips composed and “Christmastime” which Chynna and music producer Glen Ballard wrote together. Wilson Phillips will also be performing their new single “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day” live on Good Morning America and The View.
Album tracks:
1. I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day
2. Little Drummer Boy
3. Warm Lovin’ Christmastime
4. When A Child Is Born
5. Christmastime
6. Silent Night
7. Santa Clause Is Coming to Town
8. Silver Bells
9. Sleigh Ride
10. Joy
11. Winter Wonderland
12. The Christmas Song
13. Our Prayer
Now at different stages in all of their lives, the Wilson Phillips female trio is excited to finally be back together and musically share the joy, love and happiness of the holiday season not only with their families, but with their fans too.

Nature Made Prenatal Multivitamin with DHA- Review and Giveaway
When you have a baby on the way, one of the first things your doctor will tell you to do is to take a good prenatal multivitamin daily to support your health and that of your baby's.
Nature Made, a trusted maker of vitamins and supplements, offers Nature Made Prenatal Multivitamin with DHA in one single softgel. One softgel per day provides the expectant mom/nursing mom all the nutrients she needs: 200mg DHA, 800mg Folic Acid, Vitamins A,C,D and Zinc, Iron, B– Complex (Vitamins B6, B12), EPA/DHA, and Niacin.
So what does DHA do and why is it an important nutrient?
DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid that plays an important role in brain development, especially during the critical period of fetal development and infancy. DHA is transferred directly from the mother to the fetus during brain and retina development or to the infants through breastfeeding. The recommended DHA dose is 200-300 mg/day.
What about Folic Acid?
Folic acid, sometimes called folate, is a B vitamin (B9) found mostly in leafy green vegetables like kale and spinach, orange juice, and enriched grains. Repeated studies have shown that women who get 400 micrograms or more (0.4 milligrams) daily prior to conception and during early pregnancy may reduce the risk that their baby will be born with a serious neural tube defect (a birth defect involving incomplete development of the brain and spinal cord) by up to 70%.
How do the the vitamins, iron, etc. play a part in one's overall health?
Vitamins A, C, D & Zinc – support Immune System Health
Iron – supports Blood Cell Production
B–Complex (Vitamins B6, B12) – support Energy Metabolism
EPA/DHA, Niacin – support Heart and Circulatory Health
Nature Made Prenatal Multivitamin with DHA comes in 30, 60 and 90-day supply bottles and are now available at your leading pharmacy stores nationwide. We're Back!
We got back in last evening from our ten-day vacation in Rome, Italy. The plane trip back took ten and a half hours. I am definitely still jet lagged and could use a really long, restful sleep tonight.
*The Leaning Tower of Pisa behind us (Pisa, Italy)
Overall, the trip was fantastic! I could not ask for more from a honeymoon vacation. Italy is beautiful in the truest sense of the word!
Will post more photos soon, I promise! :)

Going On Our Honeymoon Trip! :)
I am delirious with excitement. My husband and I are leaving for Rome, Italy tomorrow! :)
I've always dreamed of seeing and exploring the splendor of ancient Rome, even as a child. My father was in Rome when I was about ten years old and I remember seeing photos of him showing some of the most magnificent ruins, castles and monuments in this beautiful, ancient city in Europe.
*The Colosseum in Rome, Italy
To me, this was a dream trip, now a dream-come-true slash honeymoon trip.. so what could be better? :)
*A boat cruise at The Grand Canal in Venice, Italy
*The iconic Duomo- Filippo Brunelleschi's Dome- in Florence, Italy
We will also be exploring Venice and Florence, Italy on our ten-day trip. I promise to share some photos when I get back. As far as our wedding photos, we're still waiting for them from our photographer which won't be available until the end of November. I know. I can't wait to see them either.
Regular posts will resume around October 21st. Thank you for visiting. I got a few giveaway surprises when I get back so come back again soon!

Eliminating Carbohydrate Stains is Sooo Easy with the New Wisk with Stain Spectrum™ Technology Laundry Detergent!
I have been raving about the new Wisk with Stain Spectrum™ Technology when it comes to fighting stains on clothes. Remember the retro Wisk commercial in my previous post and how I remember my mother would use Wisk laundry detergent to do our family's laundry?
In my second post, I showed you all a little Science experiment with my five year old son, Gabriel and how we were able to eliminate protein stains (grass stains, to be specific) using the new Wisk with Stain Spectrum™ Technology laundry detergent. I was very impressed.
For this new experiment, I am going to show you how (once again!) the new powerful formula from the new Wisk with Stain Spectrum™ Technology laundry detergent completely eradicated the carbohydrate stains from a white shirt.
Common examples of carbohydrate stains include ketchup, BBQ sauce, honey mustard, fudge brownie and strawberry syrup.
Wisk provided me the tools for this experiment and we were supposed to use it for our next Tailgate Party: a new t-shirt to perform the stain experiment on, a basting brush, a small hamburger press, ketchup and of course, a good amount of Wisk with Stain Spectrum™ Technology laundry detergent.
Since I just got married last week and my kids are having a really busy time in school, there is no opportunity to go Tailgating any time soon. So for the purpose of this experiment, I had my husband took photos of me while doing the experiment myself in our own kitchen.
Here, I used the basting brush to simulate the "ketchup-stained" new white shirt.
Then I left the stain on the shirt for about 15 minutes.
Then, I removed the ketchup stain first with lukewarm water, then poured a good amount of Wisk with Stain Spectrum™ Technology laundry detergent covering the entire stain.
Then I scrubbed and rubbed the stain together for 15-30 seconds and let it sat for five minutes to allow the Stain Spectrum™ Technology to penetrate the cloth fibers.
Five minutes passed and I hand-rinsed the shirt under lukewarm water until the suds were gone and voilà, this is how the shirt looked like! My husband exclaimed, "That is just too cool!" :)
Gabriel can definitely still wear this shirt and no one would ever know the shirt had been badly stained with ketchup before!
I'd have to say, this new Wisk with Stain Spectrum™ Technology is truly amazing when it comes to fighting stains! Ketchup is one of the toughest stains to eliminate, in my opinion. So I admit, I was a bit skeptical while I was doing this experiment. But WOW!!! Wisk with Stain Spectrum™ Technology proved me wrong. Again, I was VERY IMPRESSED!
Want to check out Wisk for yourself? It's now available at major retailers nationwide like Walmart, Target and Kroger for the affordable price of $5.99 for a 50 fl oz. bottle that cleans up to 32 loads.
To learn more about Wisk’s Stain Spectrum™ Technology and the different categories of stains or to download a $1.00 coupon, visit www.wisk.com. Also find Wisk on Facebook or follow them on Twitter for special deals and join in the member discussions about how to fight clothes stains!

Crest Pro-Health Complete Rinse Review
Effective, healthy teeth cleaning daily starts with the right tools. One such tool to help boost my daily teeth cleaning routine is by using a mouth rinse that has germ-killing and plaque-preventing properties.
A couple of weeks ago, I posted about testing the new Crest Pro-Health Complete Rinse. It has been a few weeks since I've been using this new mouth rinse at least twice a day after brushing my teeth and I can say, it definitely made a difference on how I look at mouth rinses!
I know that brushing alone is not enough to make my teeth cleaner and my breath fresher. The new Crest Pro-Health Complete Rinse not only cleans my teeth and freshens my breath, it also helps prevent cavities. I love the taste of mint in my daily toothpaste and the new Crest Pro-Health Complete Rinse in Clean Mint is just a perfect combo with my daily teeth brushing. I love it!
The new Crest Pro-Health Complete Rinse is now available at your leading retail stores like Walmart, Target and Walgreens.
Hip Mama's Place Disclosure: “I wrote this review while participating in a test drive campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Crest and received a sample to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.”

2. Don’t deprive yourself of treats. Just make sure to exercise portion control and taste in moderation.
3. Do keep up your fitness schedule. There’s no better time to ramp up your cardio routine.

This year, SONIC® and DonorsChoose.org hopes to make the program even bigger with a new partnership. As of this writing, over 1 million votes had already been reached and SONIC® has unlocked an additional $100,000 donation for those school projects!
How the Program Works and How Your Vote Can Help:
From August 30th, 2010 through October 7th, 2010, find your favorite public school teacher's classroom project. It could be a teacher in your community or just a project that really speaks to you. Then cast your vote. You can vote once daily, so come back again and again.
Projects receiving the most votes each week will be funded every Friday. Votes carry over from week to week, so vote every day and see how your favorite project is progressing.
Participation is easy! There is NO PURCHASE REQUIRED. Please use a valid email address.
* Just go online to LimeadesForLearning.com to search for your favorite public school teacher's project.
* Cast your vote.
* Repeat the process once a day to help your favorite teacher's project get enough votes to be funded!

New Healthy Choice Steaming Entrées
As busy people, we all face the same dilemma- how to get healthy weeknight dinners on the table with only minutes to spare. Nowadays, there are so many quick-serve meal choices such as frozen dinners that are ready in minutes.
But how do you get fresh, simple, delicious ingredients in a box of frozen microwavable steaming entrée? The new Healthy Choice brand is the answer!
With the new Healthy Choice steaming entrées, what you see is what you get. Each entrée showcase fewer and identifiable ingredients (vegetables frozen at the peak of freshness and generous cuts of white-meat chicken and even shrimp). Unlike any other frozen prepared meal brands that are packaged in an opaque box exterior, you don't have to guess what's inside each Healthy Choice microwavable steaming entrée as you can see through their innovative, clear packaging.
The key to the new entrées is steam, which unlocks the fresh taste and vibrant flavors of the large-cut, quality ingredients. An innovative steam-release vent in the film ensures a convenient cook time of about four minutes, without any need for extra steps like poking, peeling or stirring. Priced at about $2.50, it's a much better value than any fast food lunch.
Hip Mama's Place Disclosure: “I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Healthy Choice and received samples of their new steaming entrées to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central also sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
