I made this wonderfully tasty and super easy-to-make Cheesy Hash Brown Bake recipe at our last family Christmas Eve dinner and everyone just loved it! Even the kids had second helpings. Everyone agreed it was the best Cheesy Potato Bake they've tasted- ever! And, it went great with fried chicken, pork chops and green bean casserole!
I meant to make it a 'secret recipe' but since I like sharing, here it is. I wish I took photos of it when it was done. It looked so yummy and creamy when I took it out of the oven. But I promise I will do the next time I make it and add it to this post. Very soon.
I'm sure you and your family will enjoy it as much as we did! :)
Ingredients:
* 1 (30 ounce) package frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
* 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of potato soup, undiluted
* 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
* 1 medium size potato (boiled, peeled and mashed)
* 2 cups sour cream
* 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
* 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
In a bowl, combine the mashed potato, soups, sour cream, 1-3/4 cups of cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese. Transfer to a greased 3-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheddar cheese and the 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 40-45 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is melted. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
This recipe serves 10. You can vary the quantity of the ingredients according to your need.

Pampers Diaper Sampling Starts Today, 01/29!
Attention parents with babies and toddlers: Starting today January 29th, grab your free sample 3-packs of the new Pampers Cruisers w/ Dry Max at Pampers.com!
And what's more exciting, if the sample you receive includes a Team USA diaper (they will be randomly inserted in select sample packs), you will win a year's supply of Pampers Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max. That's right! This is in partnership by Pampers.com with Team USA to celebrate the upcoming Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers with Dry Max are the brand's new high performance diapers and the biggest innovation for the Pampers brand in the last 25 years. Pampers Diapers invented the Dry Max technology and applied it to the current Swaddlers and Cruisers core, which allows the diaper to be thinner than before. This game-changing diaper - Pampers' driest ever - helps lock wetness in for up to 12 hours and its less bulky design helps give flexibility and comfort - perfect for all of babies' play. The new diaper design also helps families reduce their impact on the environment by containing 10 percent less material weight. In fact, if current North American Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers users switched to the new Pampers Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max diaper, they could together throw away the weight of 1 billion less diapers every three years (based on 08/09 volume for Swaddlers/Cruisers).
Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max will be available at retail across the country beginning in March 2010. Product will be available at mass, discount, baby specialty, grocery stores and online retailers where Pampers products are sold, with the same retail pricing as the current Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers Diapers (pricing is at the sole discretion of the retailer).
For more information, please visit www.Pampers.com.

Mommy, Draw Stars on my Tummy Book Review
An amazing fact based on a study completed in the 20th century by touch researcher Ashley Montagu found that children deprived of loving touch suffer the consequences in their bones– small lines of retarded growth, known as Harris lines, appear at the ends of the tibia and the radius.
The need for touch does not diminish as we age. In fact, research on adults has proven that touch is essential for physical and emotional well-being: regular touch can lengthen life and cut down on doctor’s visits. Touch provides solace, safety, tenderness and soothing.
Of course, there is so much to be said about the power of human touch and as parents, we are all aware of the benefits our loving, nurturing touch can give our children.
In the new children's book Mommy, Draw Stars on my Tummy, writer Martin Groeneveld reinforces the loving bond between parent and child with "touch-play" activities that are presented in a very entertaining manner. After receiving this book and using the activities in it with my two toddler boys, I am convinced that this is one book we will enjoy together for many years to come!
Ms. Groeneveld's approach to providing "touch-play" activities to your child in this book using catchy rhymes and tunes is indeed very effective and if done consistently, there is no doubt you will have a calmer, happier and healthier child. Two thumbs up for this book!
A recent winner to the Mom’s Choice Award in the category Parenting Book–Health, Mommy, Draw Stars on my Tummy is available for purchase at the book's official website, on Amazon or at your leading book retailers for $19.95.

Pulse Yoga II Balance & Tone DVD Review and Giveaway
Yoga has always been one of my favorite forms of exercise. I don't claim to be the expert in this subject but I have enough experience (attended several yoga classes in the past and own several yoga home DVDs) to know when a yoga exercise program is worthy or not, of your time and money.
I recently received the Pulse Yoga II Balance & Tone DVD for my review and what great timing! I am in full force about keeping up with my daily workout routine now that I'm getting married and want to look great in my wedding dress. So the arrival of this DVD at my front door was just perfect! :)
So after several workouts using the Pulse Yoga II Balance & Tone DVD, here's my take:
if you want to tone your upper body in a slow-paced yoga mode using free weights, then this is one home video exercise to check out. I love the idea of using pulses while doing the yoga moves which are incorporated throughout this 60-minute balance and tone workout. The main fitness instructor Argie Tang is very precise in her instructions so you feel like you're really learning from a real expert. Read about her bio here, along with her assistant Prisca Boris. I love this yoga workout DVD and I definitely recommend it to anyone!
Product details: Pulse Yoga II Balance & Tone
Balance in motion are emphasized here by connecting standing balancing postures in order to master control over the body in any position. Efficient simultaneous movements of free weights tone the upper body.
* Apply the use of free weights in novel ways to basic yoga postures
* Strengthen and tone key areas such as the abdominals, lower back, upper arms and gluteus
* Teach core awareness
* Stretch chronically tight areas such as the hamstrings and hip flexors
You can purchase the Pulse Yoga II Balance & Tone for $14.99 or if you want to try all three 60 minute Pulse Yoga workout DVDs, check out the 3 DVD- box set for $34.99 at www.pulseyoga.com
*ENTER TO WIN A COPY OF THE PULSE YOGA II BALANCE & TONE DVD, VALUED @ $15!

Welcome, New Year!
"And now let us welcome the New Year
Full of things that have never been".
-RAINER MARIA RILKE
January, the month of new beginnings and cherished memories, beckons. Come, let winter weave her wondrous spell: cold, crisp, woolen-muffler days, long dark evenings of savory suppers, lively conversations, or solitary joys. Outside, the temperature drops as the snow falls softly. All of nature is at peace. We should be, too. Draw hearthside. This is the month to dream, to look forward to the year ahead and the journey within.
