Celestial Seasonings, a leading brand of all-natural specialty tea- offer a variety of delicious, extraordinary tea-drinking experiences. Each of the more than 90 flavors they make is expertly crafted using only the highest quality 100 percent natural herbs, teas, spices and fruits to produce fresh, delicious tea.
Recently, Celestial Seasonings® partnered with the non-profit organization Trees for the Future to plant more than one million trees in developing countries around the globe. As tea drinkers, you can join Celestial Seasonings in planting trees in two fun ways: by purchasing the brand’s all-natural teas between now and March 31, 2009, and by www.celestialseasonings.com, where they are given the opportunity to participate in a free interactive program that turns “virtual trees” into reality.
“Our tree-planting program is a fun, affordable way for Celestial Seasonings tea drinkers to make a difference during trying economic times,” said Peter Burns, General Manager of Celestial Seasonings. “With the help of our valued consumers and the like-minded environmental stewards at Trees for the Future, we will sponsor the planting of more than one million trees and help promote sustainability worldwide.”
Online visitors to www.celestialseasonings.com can plant a tree in a virtual forest generated entirely by fellow users. For each virtual tree planted, Celestial Seasonings will sponsor the planting of one real tree in a developing country by Trees for the Future. The online experience enables visitors to view the growing virtual forest of trees and watch their own tree sprout and grow. Users also discover how trees benefit the environment and economies of emerging nations by improving the quality of their water, air and soil, promoting biodiversity and generating additional income.
Visitors also learn about the brand’s earth-friendly practices, including the growing, harvesting and sourcing of their ingredients and the packaging of their products. Because they have worked with many of the same farmers for more than 30 years, the specialty tea leader has been able to establish sustainable harvests and support ethical trade practices. Additionally, Celestial Seasonings’ use of minimal packaging, including a unique tea bag that requires no strings, tags, staples or individual wrappers, saves more than 3.5 million pounds of waste from entering landfills annually.
Since 1988, Trees for the Future has planted more than 70 million trees in Central America, Africa and Asia – helping thousands of communities improve their livelihoods and their environment. These newly planted trees remove approximately 1.5 million tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere each year.
Personally, I have always been a fan of Celestial Seasonings teas. Cozying up to a warm cup and feeling relaxed couldn't be any better with these all-natural, delicious teas from Celestial Seasonings:
*NEW Sleepytime Throat Tamer wellness tea: a special blend that features all of the calming and relaxing qualities of Sleepytime®, including aromatic spearmint from the Pacific Northwest and soothing Egyptian chamomile. Licorice root and slippery elm bark help coat the throat and provide the perfect, all natural remedy for seasonal discomfort, while the rejuvenating infusion of lemongrass and ginger provide comforting aroma and flavor.
*Regular Sleepytime Tea herbal tea: the perfect cup of tea for bedtime! The comforting aroma and flavor of spearmint from the Pacific Northwest blends with soothing Egyptian chamomile. This is a classic blend with herbal ingredients that have been soothing for centuries. Sleepytime helps you relax by blending the best of nature. There’s no time like Sleepytime!
*Lemon Zinger herbal tea: The classic flavor of Lemon Zinger is crafted from whole lemons blended with hibiscus and lemongrass—flavorful ingredients especially appreciated for their refreshing qualities in the hot and humid weather of their native tropics. Rosehips add a gentle sweetness to balance the zing of the hibiscus. Lemon Zinger is delicious and comforting hot, but is also particularly revitalizing when prepared as iced tea.
Delight your palate, nourish your body and feed your mind and spirit with the unique and healthful herb, green, white, black, red, organic, Chai and wellness teas from Celestial Seasonings.
*Win a basket of Celestial Seasonings teas, mugs and a Sleepytime stuffed bear for your little one, worth $25!

Naturally Knotty Day Bag
If you see a really chic lady and her two little boys walking down the street carrying the coolest-looking mommy bag ever.. uhmmm.. well, that would be me! :D
Kidding aside, I am loving my new Naturally Knotty Day Bag in Blue. I was in the market for a new diaper bag for a while since my boys, now three-and-a-half and two years old, no longer require quite as much load to just go on a short outing. This bag came at just the perfect time!
This bag is great for everyday use as a diaper bag, or a personal weekender bag. I love the cool blue and chocolate color combination- simple and stylish. The bag comes with a coordinated cosmetic bag as well for those small must-haves- great for when you don't want to be bothered carrying a separate purse. Bag Features:

What's good about Naturally Knotty products is that they're not only well-made, they're also made from factory overstock and recycled materials. Jasmine Fullman, Founder of Naturally Knotty, said, "Each product you see on our store is crafted to the highest quality standards, with attention to detail at every step of the way. We believe that part of being sustainable is making products that are going to last. For earth's sake, we simply cannot afford to continue to buy products that we use for a few weeks and throw away. That is why we focus on high quality products, made at an affordable price, so that we can help to reduce the amount of trash in our landfills".
Also from Naturally Knotty are beautiful clutches, soft cashmere and silk wraps, and their popular baby cashmere set, now available at Costco for the affordable price of $124.99. ShopSmart: Common Child Safety Mistakes
You wouldn’t dream of leaving your toddler playing in the living room while you take a shower or putting your newborn down for a nap in his bedroom upstairs without turning on the baby monitor. But accidents can happen even when parents are careful. An estimated 64,000 children under age 5 are treated in U.S. hospital emergency rooms each year for injuries from accidents involving everyday nursery products, such as cribs and high chairs.
So what can you do to protect your child? ShopSmart, from the publisher of Consumer Reports, has the steps you can take to minimize the dangers in your child’s surroundings and avoid common safety slipups:
BATHING
* Not Safe: Using a baby bath seat. Toddlers sometimes slip through the leg holes and often try to climb out of or over the seat. The seat can also dislodge and tip over.
* Safer Bet: Bathe your toddler in an adult or toddler tub with a small amount of water. And never turn away from your baby during bath time, even for a second, even when you’re just filling the tub with water.
BOUNCY SEATS
* Not Safe: Placing a baby bouncy seat on an elevated or soft surface. Your baby’s movement could rock the seat to the edge of a counter or table and cause it to tip over or fall to the floor. And soft surfaces are a suffocation hazard if the seat should tip.
* Safer Bet: Put the bouncy seat on the floor.
CHANGING TABLES
* Not Safe: Using a changing table with only two or three side barriers. In the split second it takes to turn away to grab a diaper or wipe, an active baby can roll over and tumble to the ground.
* Safer Bet: Changing tables with barriers on four sides of the top comply with voluntary safety-testing standards. Always use the safety straps on the changing table or pad, and never leave your baby unattended even for a moment, even if you’re using the safety straps and you’re sure your baby is secure.
WALKERS
* Not Safe: Using a walker. The American Academy of Pediatrics has recommended a ban on walkers, and they are banned in Canada. These products can allow babies to scoot into danger and might even delay their development. Despite the name, a walker lets a baby simulate walking but doesn’t really help her acquire the skills she needs.
* Safer Bet: A stationary activity center—an all-in-one, molded-plastic play station that doesn’t have wheels— is a safer way for your baby to have fun and get a little exercise.
HIGH CHAIRS
* Not Safe: Relying on a high chair’s tray instead of using the safety belt. It doesn’t prevent your child from standing up and possibly falling out of the chair or slipping under the tray.
* Safer Bet: Fasten the safety harness, even when your baby is in a reclining position. Also, your child should always be in your view when she is sitting in a high chair.
STROLLERS
* Not Safe: Skipping the stroller’s safety straps. The stroller can tip and kids can bolt out of it unexpectedly. Also, you never know when you could hit a bump that could cause a nasty tumble.
* Safer Bet: Be sure to use the five-point safety harness on your stroller even if you’re just wheeling your child up the block or strolling slowly.
STORAGE
* Not Safe: Overloading a stroller with packages and bags. Hanging heavy bags or a purse on a stroller’s handles can cause it to tip over and injure your child.
* Safer Bet: Store your stuff in the basket or storage area underneath the stroller. Check the product directions for weight limits so you don’t overload that area.

Wordful/Wordless Wednesday: Music and Wonder
My three year old Gabriel loves dancing and music. Back in August of last year, we were in the Philippines visiting my family and went on a beach outing to have lunch and watch the ocean. The weather was perfect and some local folks were playing music to entertain the beach visitors.
Gabriel went to see what the 'musicians' were playing and took the liberty to take one of the musician's maracas so he can play along with the tunes. He was so cute and everyone just stopped to watch him dance and play along. He had a blast (actually, we all had a blast) and I was happy to capture those priceless moments with my camera. :D
Happy Wednesday!!! :D
Check out Wordless Wednesday HQ, 5 Minutes for Mom , and 7 Clown Circus for more great photos.

Straight Harmony Wood Knitting Needles by Knit Picks
Growing up, I was introduced early to the beautiful textures and colors of yarns. My mother was a great knitter and loved knitting as a hobby. The all too familiar soft Afghans in our family room...the lovely little sweaters..the colorful holiday stockings that hang up our walls. (Ahh.. sweet memories of childhood).
I never knew knitting can be such a fulfilling, relaxing hobby until I became a mother and knitter myself. I never really thought I could get myself hooked on knitting. (Now I wish I could knit like my mother did!). The endless possibilities one can create out of yarns and knitting needles are just amazing!
ANYWAY. Since I started to learn how to knit, I have joined several popular knitting communities to get ideas and inspirations for my own knitting projects. One of the knitting forums I really like going to is KnitPicks.com. The discussions from fellow members there are so interactive and friendly. A beginning knitter like me could really get a lot of helpful tips and fresh ideas just by reading and browsing through the many different topics they have on knitting.
Speaking of KnitPicks.com, I recently received one of their beautiful Straight Harmony Knitting Needle Sets. These needles are not only beautifully crafted out of wood, they are smooth and very easy to work with too. I love the colorful jewel tones- so lovely I never want to stop knitting anymore once I start working them with my yarns! And an added bonus: it is so lightweight my knitting hands don't tire easily.
So for you all knitting hobbyists/crafters out there, if you're looking for a great-performing knitting needles that deliver sharp, tapered tips, I highly recommend the Straight Harmony Knitting Needles by Knit Picks. They come in needle sets in 10" and 14" lengths and are lightweight. These wood needles are great for scarf knitting, pieced sweaters or simply to decorate your knitting space or office desk. Each set includes a pair of needles in US sizes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10.5, 11 (3.50mm-8.00 mm) and a black jacquard fabric carrying case with room for 12 needle pairs. These sets of knitting needles are also a beautiful gift idea for the knitting enthusiast in your life! (Hint: How about a Knit Picks Mother's Day Gift card?).
Straight Harmony Knitting Needle Sets are now on sale for $69.99 (10" set) and $84.99(14" set) at www.KnitPicks.com.
*Win one of two (2) pairs of 10" Straight Harmony Knitting Needles size 8 (5.00 mm) by Knit Picks, valued at $9/pair!

ecostore USA: Helping You "Go Green"
There is so much buzz about "going green" everywhere today. The bottom line is that we all want what's best for our future and our families. But what if we're bombarded with household products slapping catchphrases like “natural” and “botanically infused” labeled on them? How can we, as consumers, filter out the real deal from the hype?
According to ecostore USA, when searching for the real "green" household products, make sure they indicate “90%-100% organic,” “non-toxic,” and that all ingredients are listed. Avoid common harmful chemicals such as:
* Parabens (preservatives some studies have connected to breast cancer
* Glycols (organic solvents that can be passed from mother to fetus, and can affect the nervous system in high doses)
*Sodium lauryl sulfate (a foaming agent known to cause skin and eye irritation, and found in the majority of bubble baths, shampoos and shower gels)
For genuinely clean and green products that are safe for you and the environment, ecostore USA is the one to depend on. Offering over 100 household products with "No Nasty Chemicals", ecostore USA does not compromise on performance, so we as consumers can be assured of the efficacy of their products.
We all know that buying natural or organic can become expensive, but ecostore USA is aware of that and so they've safely super-concentrated each of their product's formulation so that a little really goes a long, long way. This way, we can all save money by significantly cutting down on cost per use!
I had the wonderful opportunity to test out a few of ecostore USA's products: the Front Loader Laundry Powder (love the fresh, lemon scent and our clothes really come out clean and smell great too!), and the Vanilla Shampoo and Conditioner. I highly recommend these ecostore USA products- they do good for you and for our planet!
*Win a $25 Gift Certificate to ecostore USA!
*IMPORTANT: PLEASE REMEMBER TO COMMENT ONLY ONCE. INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS AND EXTRA CREDITS YOU'VE DONE IN YOUR COMMENT.
To enter this contest, leave a comment on this post and tell us what ecostore USA products you'd like to try by Thursday, March 26th at 12MN, EST. Open to US and Canada residents only. One comment per entrant, please. Non-bloggers are always welcome to enter. I will pick one winner using Random.org. The winner will be notified via email or you can check the winner announcement via Prizey.Fetch. You can also choose to enter the name or nickname you use to enter this contest while you're there.

Clifford the Big Red Dog New Episodes on PBS Kids (And A Giveaway)
The award-winning, top-rated series Clifford the Big Red Dog has two new episodes on PBS Kids scheduled to air on Thursday, April 2nd. Check your local TV listings.
Follow Clifford the Big Red Dog and his owner, Emily Elizabeth, as they help friends on everyday adventures that teach life lessons through Clifford’s Big Ideas.
“TO CATCH A BIRD”
When Jetta’s trophy and locket go missing, fingers and paws point to Emily – except for Clifford’s! He and the other dogs take it upon themselves to prove Emily’s innocence. When they finally prove Emily didn’t steal anything, Clifford learns the value of having faith in a friend. Big Idea: Be a good friend.
“THE BEST PARTY EVER”
Jetta ridicules Emily for not planning enough exciting activities for her “homemade” birthday party, so Emily takes her off the invitation list. After realizing Jetta’s feelings were hurt, Emily ends up inviting her after all. Big Idea: Be a good friend.
I've always loved watching Clifford the Big Red Dog as a little girl. Now my two boys love it too. I like that the stories are set in slower, steady pace, the music is always mellow, the characters talk clearly and politely, and each story always teaches a valuable lesson. And of course, Clifford is just so lovable! :D
And by the way, Clifford has a national BE BIG! Campaign, which invites everyone to take action, and raises awareness about how Clifford’s Big Ideas can make the world a better place.
*Win the Clifford the Big Red Dog "Doggie Detectives" DVD! To enter this contest, leave a comment on this post by Wednesday, March 25th at 12MN, EST and be entered to win! Practical Tips To Manage Your Time
Finding it difficult to manage your time?
Take these easy and practical tips from American Baby to help you maximize your time and make the most of those precious minutes.
1. Assess your time. Look closely at how you spend your time. Experts say that most people spend up to an hour a day on tasks that could be put on hold or completely eliminated from their schedule.
2. Prioritize. The key to organization is knowing what's a priority and what can wait. Experts suggest that you divide your to-do list into three sections: those things that need to be taken care of immediately, those that can get done anytime during the week, and those that are long-term or ongoing projects.
3. Think ahead. Look for ways to delete steps from a task or cut the amount of time you spend getting ready. For instance, prepare as much as you can for morning the night before. Or set the table for the next meal with the dishes you unload from the dishwasher.
4. Organize, organize, organize. Get a file cabinet and keep a copy of everything. Keep a folder for each child so you know exactly where to find all of their information (school, doctors, etc.). Make copies of things such as phone numbers and class lists, and keep one at home and one at work.
5. Pick your battles. Decide what you can live with and what really gets under your skin. Maybe you can't stand a dirty floor, but you can live without the bed made just right.
6. Multitask. Learn to consolidate jobs and get things done during downtime. Pay bills or go over your child's homework while you're sitting in a waiting room. Get a phone headset so you can do other chores while making phone calls.
7. Ask for help. You don't have to be Supermom and do everything yourself. Recruit other resources when you're running short on time (and sanity). Consider bartering with another mom; she can run some errands for you one day and you can watch her son for two hours another day.
8. Give everyone a job. Whether it's sorting laundry, licking stamps, or picking things up, there are chores that even the littlest of helpers can do.
9. Post it. Hang a family wall calendar to keep track of everything from PTA meetings to doctor visits to movie dates with your husband. Post an ongoing grocery list on the fridge. Buy an erasable white board and hang it in the kitchen to post lists and reminders.
10. Be ready to go. Have a bag packed with essentials and keep it by the door. Fill it with baby gear, snacks, napkins, coloring books, stationery, stamps, etc.
11. Use the Internet. Pay bills online and have them automatically deducted from your bank account. Buy gifts from Web sites and save yourself from store crowds. Save time by researching items online before you head out to the stores. This way you'll know exactly where to go and what you're getting.
12. Put everything in its place. One of the biggest time-wasters is looking for lost items. Make sure things are put away after use so they don't get shoved someplace when you're in a hurry.
13. Consolidate. Keep everything of the same "subject" together in one place. Keep all of your children's sports uniforms in one drawer, or store the entire family's rain gear in one place.
14. Baskets are a Mom's best friend. Place a good-size basket in every room to store toys, books, videos, etc. Put one for each family member by the door to store backpacks, shoes, and whatever else goes out with that person in the morning.
15. Make extras. Whenever you cook a meal, always double (or triple) the recipe and freeze the extras. In addition, use paper plates and plastic utensils when you're running late or eating something simple. Save the good dishes for fancy meals.

Disney's Baby Einstein World Music DVD
As parents, one of the most important lessons we teach our children is to appreciate the different cultures from around the world. Wouldn't it be great if we could introduce them to this concept in a fun, engaging and interactive way?
I'm glad to know that Disney's Baby Einstein created World Music, an interactive product line of DVDs, music CDs, books, toys and gear that embrace the brand's philosophy of touch, talk and think, while promoting together time between baby and parents. Baby Einstein World Music encourages parents and little ones to foster a lifelong love of music and an appreciation for diverse cultures from around the world.
Susan McClain, Vice President and General Manager of The Baby Einstein Company shared, "Based on the thousands of moms who contact us, there is a real desire to expose their little ones to different cultures. From Africa to Australia, music is a common thread that ties us all together. With this new line, our goal is to begin a lifelong appreciation for the world."
The Baby Einstein World Music DVD encourages live interaction and introduces children to the world's distinctive sights and sounds with fun-loving puppet host Jane the Monkey and her toy drum as she travels across the globe to play music with her puppet friends. It features real-world images of global musical instruments, regional toys and animals, and takes an extraordinary look at the universal language of music, encouraging viewers to join in the fun by blowing on a flute, strumming on a harp and singing along to songs from all seven continents. And for a more customized experience for each family's stage and needs, the World Music DVD provides two settings- Grow with Me and Select-a-Segment. The "grow with me" setting offers a second viewing mode containing spoken words and additional content that grows with babies, while "select-a-segment" gives parents the choice of viewing shorter segments, such as five or ten minutes, as opposed to longer programming.
We received a copy of the Baby Einstein World Music DVD to review, thanks (again) to Mom Central! My three and two year old toddler boys Gabriel and Jaden absolutely enjoyed this DVD the first time we played it. They love it so much we actually had to play it three times! They both giggle happily everytime Jane the Monkey drums and makes noises. Personally, I found the music very lively and the concepts are introduced very clearly. Baby Einstein World Music DVD is definitely a wonderful addition to our growing Baby Einstein DVD library.
You too, can bring a fresh, new experience of music and culture home to your baby and young kids with the Baby Einstein World Music DVDs, CDs, books, toys and gear.
Available for purchase to the public starting March 31st, 2009 at www.babyeinstein.com.

Heart to Heart Necklace to Benefit Women's Heart Health
I recently received an invitation to announce a very important campaign to benefit women's heart health. Since I strongly advocate raising awareness among women about heart health and diet, I was excited to accept the invitation.
About the Campaign:
The United Soybean Board (USB) teamed up with top Hollywood design house gorjana Jewelry to create a beautiful sterling silver necklace to help launch the Heart to Heart campaign. This campaign will benefit WomenHeart.org - the only national organization dedicated to promoting women's heart health through advocacy, community education and patient support.
Sleek and stylish, the Heart to Heart necklace features a delicate charm that incorporates the unique combination of a heart and soybean shapes. The charm is finished in brushed sterling silver and hangs on an 18" chain. "Worn alone or layered with other pieces, the necklace is a fashionable and meaningful addition to the jewelry wardrobe of women, young to old. We are excited to partner with the soybean farmers across America for such a good cause", said Gorjana Reidel, designer of the Heart to Heart necklace.
Soyfoods are recognized for their role in an overall heart-healthy diet because they are often relativey low in saturated fats and high in polyunsaturated fat ("good" fats), contain zero zero grams of trans fat per serving and are cholesterol-free. One of USB's main endeavor is to inform Americans about the health risks associated with trans and saturated fats.
"WomenHeart strives to educate women about the importance of a heart healthy diet. This generous donation from the United Soybean Board will help further our efforts in creating a heart-healthy America", said Lisa M. Tate, CEO of WomenHeart.
What You Can Do:
If you want to support WomenHeart's cause, the Heart to Heart necklace is available for purchase online at gorjana.com or at shopbop.com for $45. All sales proceeds will benefit WomenHeart.
