I just saw Oprah Magazine's December 2008 O Magazine Holiday Gift Guide- a highly anticipated annual round-up of Oprah’s favorite gift ideas for the holiday season.
One of the suggested gift ideas that caught my attention was the first “Design-Your-Own” Custom Photo Visa Gift Card from GiftCardLab.com.
The Visa gift card from GiftCardLab.com is highly recommended on the "O" List as a unique, personable product to give because it is completely customizable. Simply upload your favorite photo, image or logo on a Visa gift card.
GiftCardLab.com offers thousands of great designs and in just minutes, you can create a unique, personal gift for anyone on your holiday list. In these hard times, Visa gift cards can also be a great gift for loved ones, employees and customers. They can use the gift cards for necessary items such as for groceries, gas or everyday essentials.

Gift cards for gifts rock! Everyone loves a gift card.
A Visa gift card is definitely the way to go this year. There are simply too many retailers going out of business this year to chance giving someone a gift card only to find the store has closed their doors by the time the card recipient goes to store to redeem your gift.
The other suggestion would be to give a Walmart card...I doubt very much that they'll be closing their doors.
I love the use of gift cards for Christmas...and I love having the ability to personalize them as well. Thanks for the heads up :)
