Fashionable and Functional Baby Bags

During my first pregnancy, I splurged on a couple of fashionable and what you might call 'high-end' baby bags. I must had gone through some type of 'gotta-have-that-cute-baby bag' phase. Just because.. it wasn't enough that I had a full-sized, fairly nice Eddie Bauer diaper bag that a girlfriend gave me on my baby shower, or the cute cream-colored one my husband bought me from Babies R' Us. At that time, I wanted a baby bag that's more fashionable, and yet functional enough that can hold all my baby necessities.

So I went online and did a little reading on top choice diaper bags with great reviews. Then stumbled upon the Fleurville brand. Believe it or not, I bought not one, but two styles- the Mothership and the Sling (Mini) Tote, both in Blue Ogo (both pictured here), just because I thought they were both stylish and functional.

The neatest thing about the Fleurville baby bags is that they are covered in polyurethane laminate "Green-LAM" technology which is known to be more environmentally friendly than PVC that most other diaper bag brands use. This type of laminate makes your Fleurville diaper bag repel more moisture and will protect from harmful UV rays, contributing to the overall durability of the bag.

Notable features of the Mothership design are: padded, non-skid shoulder strap, insulated and removable bottle holder in its own sleeve, matching changing pad, 3 inner elastic topped pockets and 3 large outer pockets.

The Mini Tote is ideal for those short trips with your baby when you don't need to carry a lot. It's about 20% smaller than the Mothership but still has a lot of room for baby travel must-haves. You can carry it either over the shoulder as a tote or attached to the stroller. Talk about versatility.

My Fleurville Mothership and Sling Tote baby bags have survived many trips long and short for almost three years now, but they're still my top diaper bags among others I own. Five stars from me for Fleurville baby bags- I love them! From $85-$150, at Fleurville.com

I know Jo. I wanted something different from what my husband got me but we had to go for what was on sale and convenient... save, save, save! You know what I mean. But now I am looking for something that go over my shoulder so I don't have to hold it when I'm carrying Aviia.
